It's kind of rainy here so I decided I want comfort food. So I'm making meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and cooked carrots with orange juice sauce. What are you having for dinner??

Leftover gazpacho, pasta salad, and some chicken... I have been snacking all day so naturally now I am not that hungry! Meatloaf sounds delicious!

Good question... It's about a bajillion degrees out here, so we'll probably just make some kind of salad or get takeout. You couldn't pay me to turn the oven on.

@MamaMoose: Meatloaf and mashed potatoes sounds awesome!
DH is working really late tonight, so probably just a PB&J.

ooooh that sounds delicious!! Wagon Sr. and I are both emotionally exhausted from today's whole trashcan incident so we're ordering a steak and cheese calzone to share. Hey hey, we are getting a greek salad too... but I can't wait to get my hands on that calzone. Beefy melty cheesy comfortness...

It's really hot here and I BBQ'd, which was really uncomfortable but worth it! We had BBQ chicken breast and garden salad! Followed by leftover cake from DH's birthday celebrations

Now I feel all guilty again, because all I've been wanting are PB&J sandwiches or freezer pops. I should make up a light and summery menu for the next few weeks.

Its our anniversary, so we went out to eat tonight. I had grilled chicken, a baked potato and lots of hush puppies!

@mrs. wagon: mmmmm steak and cheese calzone. One of the things I miss about Mass is amazing local sandwich shops for stuff like that.

@mrs. wagon: lol I love you, you just crack mr up!!
I have to eliminate grains so tonight was something new but I loved it!
Zucchini shredded into ribbons tossed with mushrooms, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, salt + pepper with a cashew+almond sauce to top it. I am hooked. So delicious and so healthy!!

@Coco Bee: what? I can't hear you... I'm in beefy cheesy coma....

@autumnlove: lol I almost killed Wagon Sr. for ordering a small, not large. But a large is LITERALLY a large pizza folded over. The small with the greek salad was the perfect size!

Aha! I DO have some salisbury steak in the freezer, and some microwaveable veggies! Yay for semi-real food!

We had steak, butter beans, cheesy rice, and I made some biscuits from scratch.

We had breakfast for dinner. I cooked pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Now I'm sipping a corona-rita and chilling. Hubby is watching baseball. Lovely evening.

DH didn't get home until 9, so I had a bowl of strawberries and he had a bowl of the chili I made last night. Strawberries are probably not the best dinner, but my tummy has felt off all day & I don't feel much like eating.

@Jennimac: I don't like coronas, or margaritas, but you make me want to have a corona-rita!!!!

@mrs. wagon: I am not a beer fan at all, but I do love some margaritas. I decided to try since a lot of people around here talk about them in the summer. I.love.them. They are delicious. I'm embracing my ability to enjoy all things 'forbidden' during pregnancy. We will start trying this month, so I will have to limit my indulgences.

@Jennimac: good luck! and til then, please do indulge, it really does sound so delicious and refreshing!!
