Haven't seen one in awhile...so what's for lunch?
I'm boring and have a sandwich (chicken w/ honey mustart) w/ a small bag of chips and a clementine.

I'm even more boring-- soup and bread. even though that's perfect for a day like today (it's cold and slushy/snowy here!) I really want something more substantial! And a slice of cake.

Leftover Thanksgiving ham, a spinach salad and a couple of clementines if I'm not too lazy to peel them!

@mrs. wagon: soup sounds so good right now...mmmm yum. I am hating this dreary weather right now! And it's so windy were I work that I don't even want to make a starbucks run ( I work near Fanuil Hall).

I made Asian Style sloppy joe's and roasted brussels sprouts last night, so I brought them as leftovers. Can't wait for lunch (it's only 9 am here on the west coast.....)

@crash806: ah!! I used to work in that area... well actually not in that area but I commuted to the State Street station then walked to my building a good 7-8 blocks away.

@aprk: I've also been obsessed with egg salad lately - yum! Know any good recipes?

My mum brought me a big pot of homemade beef, vegetable and barley soup the other day, so I'll have a bowl of that and probably a side salad. Can't get enough soup lately!

@Mrs. High Heels: I stick with the basics for this one: two hard boiled eggs, a big squirt of mayo, a small squirt of yellow mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

@crash806: I use this as a base recipe and adjust to my liking (I like to add worcestershire to the sauce and maybe a dash more hot sauce and vinegar) - http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sandra-lee/asian-sloppy-joes-recipe/index.html
For the ground pork portion I season with garlic salt, omit the peppers (I'm a bell pepper hater), and add spinach along with the onions.
You can easily scoop this over rice or pasta. I also like to scoop it into cabbage cups like a lettuce wrap for a healthier alternative.
Such a versatile, EASY recipe. It's one of my husband's favorites so I make it at least once a week!
