LO will be 20 months at Christmas and I'm starting to think about her holiday wish list.
I think a sled is definitely going on the list! Any recos? Maybe a cute rainboot, raincoat, umbrella set for the Spring. Oh, and magna tiles!!
Any other good items for a 20 month old? Her bday is end of April so I'm saving 2 year summer outdoor fun for her birthday.

All the items I want to put on the list are large items, so I'm trying to narrow it down at the moment. I want him to get a train table, a play kitchen, and a learning tower. I'm hoping to get him the kitchen, and I know my MIL will probably be happy to get him the train table. I guess I can add lots of food items and pots/pans for the kitchen as smaller items. We made an Amazon wishlist last year and for his birthday, and everyone really liked using it.

Her first birthday is two weeks before Christmas so we're thinking of getting an everywhere chair, a rocker and maybe some other "bigger" toys.

She will be 9 months, so far I have an activity cube, walker (unless she needs before), books, wagon, and other misc toys. I have a big family, so she is going to get way too much stuff.
We already have her Santa gift, a kitchen version of the FP Laugh and Learn house. We also bought a music table but I have a feeling she might need it before Christmas.

My son will be 3 in December, so this year, we're going for add ons to his Duplo train set, anything Jake and the Neverland Pirates (he has Bucky already) and magnatiles.

@locavore_mama: how about a micro scooter? It seems like all kids under 4 have one here. DS LOVES his.
My son keeps saying "we should buy a bike with pedals for your birthday". So I guess that is what he will get! He will be 3 and his birthday is just a few days after Christmas. He is also going to get a baby sister, who should arrive just before Christmas ;-).

@locavore_mama: also, we got the micro scooter when DS was 19 or 20 months. There's definitely a learning curve for them but its a good age to start.

A wooden doll house - but instead of dolls it has a little bunny family. E is obsessed everytime we go to our local toy store! She'll be 18 months in December.
We want to do a reading corner in B's room so some good first reader books and a chair is probably what we'll get him.

@LuLu Mom: Do children really love easels? I bought one for my son and he'd much rather draw/color on the table. My best friend has 2 kids and my other friend has 3 kids and none of them like the easel. Maybe we just have an odd group of kids in our group!

I plan way to far in advance. Drives DH crazy. I already have ideas to ask the grandparents for 1st bday gifts as well!

@banana: IKEA has a cheap easel I want to get. We've gotten one for all our nieces and nephews and they're always a big hit. Adding that to my list!

A gears toy that I bought last Christmas that didn't come in time (thanks Zulily) that I've stashed away. And a Duplo set we intended to give her for her birthday, but decided to wait until the holidays. She'll be 18 months.

DD will be 21 months this Christmas, I think we're going to ask for some new fun bath towels for her, clothes (always more clothes!) and maybe a balance bike? I'm not sure really. But those are the things that come to mind immediately.

@locavore_mama: or also keep an eye on some of the online toy retailers like fat brain ... It looks like they have a lower starting retail price than lakeshore and if there were a nice coupon at some point maybe there could be a good deal there..
