My mom told me that she's going to go in with my grandpa and his wife to buy us our crib. It's not super expensive ($150) but none of them have a lot of extra cash, so this is really sweet of them.
What's made you happy lately?

Had a giant falling out with my parents earlier this summer, but our relationship is now on the mend. Thank goodness!

@highwire: I'm glad to hear that things are getting better. Family rifts are always hard to deal with.

The fact that we’re SO close to September! Being able to say that we’ll have a baby outside NEXT month is such an exciting prospect

Mine's really bad. I just had lunch with a friend and my LO was a perfect angel while her baby..... was not. Usually my LO is the one who acts up and I have to spend the whole time standing with her and trying to get her to calm down. It was just nice being on the other side for once. But I did feel bad for my friend!

@MaisyMay: 17w3d. It could be gas bubbles, but I never have THIS many gas bubbles! It feels like popping or deep little muscle spasms, all on the front-left side and occasionally the right. If that's what it is, he's either super active today or gotten much bigger lately so that I can feel him better!

@ladyfingers: That sounds like genuine movement to me! I started feeling our little guy around that time and it felt exactly like that! So exciting

Almost having our nursery complete is exciting (I'm not due until December but when I get my mind set on something I have the urge to finish it right away), and also feeling kicks in the morning and at night always makes me happy
