I'm SO desperate to "get away"! But it won't happen till after the house renos are done. Sigh.
I'm hoping for maybe a weekend trip to the cabin we got engaged at this winter after the holiday season.
Then maybe in the spring/early summer a long weekend trip to either Boston or Montreal.
We might be going to NYC for Thanksgiving with my family but that doesn't count. 
Because it's like going home.
Any tentative/hopeful vacation travel plans for you?

We have so many travel opportunities coming up, but I'm staying home with the baby. TRaveling while pregnant with a toddler is painful!
We're gonna be a lot of traveling in 2013 though.

Me, DH, and DD are going with his mother, her wife and his brother to Russian River (CA) in a few weeks. She has rented a cabin for us all for the weekend! Should be fun

We are taking LO on her first vacation in September! We are flying from MA to NC and renting a house on the Outer Banks. We went there last year for a babymoon when I was 6ish months pregnant and we are renting the same house this year.

Small trip: we might go on a roadtrip to Montana this weekend.
Bigger trip: we are probably going to head to the east coast for the Holidays. Don't know which holiday.

Sadly no trips planned soon, hopefully in 2013 we get to go somewhere, DH has never been to Vegas, and you can do that in a weekend, probably the longest I will want to be away from DD with her being under a year.

We’re going to Monterey next weekend! It’ll just be for the weekend but I’m dying for any kind of getting away! And getting away to temperatures in the 60s is a plus

In November we're going to wine country and renting a cottage suite for a couple of days, riding our bikes, tasting the food, buying some wine, etc. Then in December we're going to Mexico. Nothing planned for spring, though.

@regberadaisy: We had a really nice time there, although the ocean was craaaazy since it was the week after a major hurricane (I think it was Irene). Big waves and they ended up closing the beach for the last few days we were there.
We stayed in Nag's Head because that's where the hospital is and I was a paranoid pregnant lady. But we liked it so much that we are going back to the same place this year!

We are going to Maine for a long weekend for our anniversary in October (thanks to everyone who recommended places, btw-- we are going with Ogunquit).
Then, depending when I get pregnant, we REALLY want to go to Alaska around the beginning of March. Since we are just starting TTC, it will be a consolation price if it takes longer than expected

We're going to Stockholm in Oct to register LO at the embassy, it's a few hours drive. DH's really been talking about going to visit my family this winter. We were supposed to wait until next summer but we might make it out earlier after all. It's gonna be a long international flight with a baby ... and it's not really a vacation since it'll just be going home for me unless we plan something else around it.

We just came back from a family cruise with my In-laws (4 day cruise + 1 day at Disneyworld)... and WOW, am I glad that's over!! It was my first traveling with my in-laws and neither DH nor I really enjoyed the trip :T Not necessarily saying it was their fault, a lot of things went wrong, and it was difficult traveling with my SIL's 3 yr old and 1yr old... and we're just glad to be home!!
As for our NEXT trip... we may join my family on a trip/tour to Croatia in December. But we're TTC, so we've been holding off on committing to the trip until a little closer to the date. Uhm, and traveling with MY family is MUCH easier than his family, and he agrees too!!

Depends! If I get knocked up in the next few months we will probably have a low-key 'babymoon' in San Antonio. If TTC takes more than 6 months, my DH says we can go on a bigger trip to try and take our minds off of it, maybe to D.C. or Northern CA/wine country. So, it just depends!
We were already lucky enough to take a lovely trip to San Diego/LA in May, but I'm one of those people who ALWAYS has a travel bug, so I can't help but look forward to what's next!

We'll be heading to Connecticut in October for my brother-in-law's wedding. It's one week before our first anniversary and I'd rather be spending all the travel money on an anniversary trip for us, but I'm trying to not be bratty about it

We may visit friends in KY this fall/winter, and we may hit up my aunt's cabin in NC this fall, as well. We don't plan things until last minute most of the time. I am planning a girls trip to France next spring, though. That takes a bit more planning, so that'll be nailed down before the others.

I am taking LO to England in October to meet my family. It should be an interesting trip with a 4 month old.
