Bees! Is there anyone that has traveled with their LO's to the Philippines and/or China? We may have the opportunity to go on a trip when our LO is 7 months old. (insert CRAZY excitement!!) The problem is he obviously won't be fully vaccinated (we are also on an alternate schedule, not sure if that matters). What protocols did you follow? What did you doctor/ped recommend?

@lolabee: We didn't do any special vaccines for the kids... other than their normal vaccine schedule. Bee and I were both up to date on our vaccines, otherwise we probably would've gotten some booster shots.

We actually live in China. We moved here last year when LO was 10 months. She started her vaccines in Tokyo following the US guidelines and just continued on schedule here. We are in Beijing so no extra vaccines were required though since its a major city and not rural. Our ped did mention that if LO was susceptible to mosquito bites, we should think about getting her the Japanese encephalitis vaccine.
