We have 7$ / a day daycare (that are full)
and then we have 25$, 35$ and 45$ daycares but the government gives us money back per month to reduce the costs to anywhere from 10-15$ a day. -
I haven't done much research in them, but the one I am considering is $900/month.

Our full time daycare will cost us 158/week and we'll get one week free a year for vacation.

I teach preschool at a daycare center and our infant class is about $750/month. Luckily, since I work there I'll get a huge discount.

Wow, those all seem pretty low to me! No LO yet, but from when I taught preschool & hearing what friends pay for their LOs, in our area $250/wk for small home daycare & around $300-$400/wk for daycare centers

$1300-$1700/mo. And we're not even in a big city!!

$1500 - $2800 is the range in new york. most of the daycares in our neighborhood are around $1800-$2000.

In the dc area for an infant its $1800- $2000. I don't know how people do it! I'm lucky to have my mom help me.

NY suburbs - I would say the range is $1500 - $2000 a month.

@winniebee: I hear ya! We're south of the city but it will still cost us between $1,300 - $1,500 a month. Ouch.

I'm in Kansas City. It seems to average about $225/week.

LO's daycare will be just over $300 a week. I couldn't find a decent one for less than $280 a week. I'm in Portland, ME.

DC metro seems to be about $275-325/wk for a home daycare and $400-500/wk for a center. Nannies around $35k a year and up, plus health insurance.

About 13-1500/month for an infant and about 1000/month for a toddler.
