I researched just out of curiousity...
We're in the burbs of MI and average for a good daycare is around $200/wk for 1 baby.

We're looking at between $30-$43/day. It makes me crazy that I'm making a mortgage payment to a daycare.

I don't know if this is average, but out of curiosity, I looked up the place that's across the street from us. $2483 a month for 8am-6pm, 5 days a week! INSANE. Of course, I'm sure there are less expensive options, but still! That blows my mind.

@hilsy85: OMG that's so expensive!!
I didn't do much research, but from what others have told me, I think it's about $1000 - $1500 a month for fulltime care?

DFW area - ranges from 180 - 275+/week for an infant. And the cost certainly is indicative of the program in the price range.

I'm in northern Colorado. $265 a week for infants seems to be the going rate here.

From my preliminary research, about $1600-$1800/month in the NJ 'burbs.

@hilsy85: yeah, even if you find cheaper options they won't be much cheaper than that. The range in LIC is 2250 - 2500. New York is just ridiculous.

It averages about $1100-1300/month where I live.... in Orange County, CA.
