For NB thru size 2 I loved pampers swaddlers - after that I went to Target up and up

We used pampers when he was little--sizes nb-2. We were gifted lots of pampers swaddlers. Now we use Huggies Snug n Dry. Honestly I wouldn't stock up too many until you see what fits your LO best. You also don't know how quickly LO will move through the sizes.

We tried so many. I started stocking up with Pampers, but then Up & Up (Actually using them, the only difference in the two are that pampers smell amazzzzing). We had huggies and tried the Honest company.

We no longer have target so we're back to using pampers and I love them. Huggies were the worst (IMO) for blow outs when he was young and that turned me off them forever.

For the price, I thought the Honest diapers were really MEH. Would not buy again for that price.

ETA: Oh yea, Kirkland brand from Costco felt very much like huggies to me and I didn't like them!

@peachykeen: I think we've had two blowouts in cloth, but so many more in disposables. Cloth FTW!

We started with pampers swaddlers when LO was in the NICU, then switched to Honest until he was probably 6 months. Then it was blowout central every dang day so we switched to Earth's Best and we love them!

Love Pampers Swaddlers. Not a single leak or blowout. We hated Honest diapers, and had leaks and blowouts before. I actually just picked up a package of Huggies Little Snugglers to give them a try. Be careful stocking up too many of some size, babies grow quickly, and different brands fit your baby differently!

I used pampers swaddlers all the way until DD1 was potty trained... turns out that DD2 is allergic to just about every diaper out there so we were limited on what we could get.

I agree with not stocking up. you really don't know what's going to fit best/work for your baby (size wise).

My LO was small and in Newborn for 6 weeks, she's in size 1 now but i'm not sure how long that will last.

I liked pampers for newborn (the wetness indicator is awesome in the early days). Now we're using cloth during the day (they do contain poops better) and honest/pampers at night.

@Pancakes: I loved the Honest ones (the prints are so cute!) but even sizing up it wasn't working. Although, now that DS is on more solids, I wonder if we would have a better experience! Maybe I will try a pack and see

It really really depends on your baby. I would only buy one box of what you decide and tape the receipts to them so you can return.

Personally I like huggies little snugglers/movers the best. Pampers fit my babies weird and pamper wipes gave my dd1 a rash.

@regberadaisy: @Keybee: oh yeah stay away from pampers wipes - they are awful! We loved Huggies wipes!!!!!

We have been in Honest for 9.5 months and counting and love them! We do use Pampers Baby Dry overnight in the next size up bc DS is a heavy overnight wetter. We tried to use the Pampers Swaddlers leftover from the hospital initially, but they gave DS a terrible rash.

I don't think there's any such thing as a "best diaper". It depends on your baby's shape (long and lean versus chubby and short fits diapers differently). It depends on how sensitive your baby's skin is. It depends on how mammoth your baby's poos are and how often they come. So buy some to start, but don't go crazy, diapers regularily go on sale.

I liked Pampers Swaddlers but they started giving her a rash. We used Honest for awhile but they are just too expensive. Huggies were great for us.

@Mamaof2: We are opposite! Huggies gave LO a diaper rash, and I'm loving pampers natural clean so far!

Pampers sensitive swaddlers but Target brand is awesome too!

Pampers Swaddlers. We are now 2.5 and in size 4. I couldn't stand the smell of Luvs and Hugs never fit her well. Pampers Baby Dry are ok, but the Swaddlers seem to absorb better.

We love Pampers swaddlers. Tried Huggies twice and ended up giving away half the box both times because they didn't fit right at all. Honest company worked ok for us, but didn't hold as much.

@Keybee: I stocked up on N-2 on Swaddlers and then switched to Luvs. Just keep receipts if you do and you can always exchange! My youngest is almost 3 months and we haven't had to buy a single diaper since she was born. With my oldest we went 6 months with not buying a diaper! it really was amazing.

We are primarily a cloth family, but I use disposables for night and travelling, here are my thoughts. I can't stand the smell of pampers, they are so heavily perfumed. They also had tons of blow outs! Huggies tend to not be as heavily scented and we have yet to have a blow out in them. I find Huggies wipes really flimsy, but love Pampers natural/unscented wipes.
