Audio/video monitor! That's MY fav, but baby's favorite gifts are two stroller toys that I hang over her changing table. "Froggie and crinkle bug".

In my son's perspective it would probably be the turtle my mom knit (http://knitting-yarn.knitpicks.com/Sheldon). The neck is long enough that it is perfect for a child's hand to grip and it is his lovey. Now she just has to knit the costumes the turtle can wear.
Second is probably the Melissa and Doug fill-n-spill toolbox (http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Toolbox-Fill-Spill/dp/B000U4CUHC/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333018688&sr=8-1-spell). I have a feeling it will continue to be a favorite for a few more years at least.

Ummmm...Well, all of her favourite toys are ones I bought her...Does that count? She LOVES her exersaucer and currently, a Fisher-Price laugh and learn music table.

@mrbee: Well, for Christmas LO received a giant Max Ville activity block...But she's too young for it. But I can definitely see it as a great toy for her! *I* like playing with it! LOL.

My mom buys a lot of things for us. She gifted us the nursery furniture and buys new clothes for the LO each season. So those are my favorite gifts since it saves me a lot of money and time!

My friend made us a quilt she took me to the fabric store to get an idea on what kind of fabric I like. But she surprised me with toddler bedding too, so lo will actually get to appreciate it one day, since now she has no idea.
