For us, the hanger always does the trick. I lose a lot of hair unintentionally down the sink!!!

@chopsuey: I was gonna say this. Clean out the pipe under the sink.

Plunger! We have a second plunger for sinks and tubs. Our plumber friend suggested it, works every time

We use a zip it and it always gets the clogs out! (I feel like a commercial!)

Drano! DH just unclogged the bathroom sink

Another zip it fan, plus it's better on your pipes than draino. After that the vinegar trick.

All you people who snake the drain amaze me. I kind of want to throw up just thinking about it!

I am really against using any kind of draino or chemicals, those things can end up in the water supply.

I would call a plumber and have the drain snaked.

for my tub: hanger, punger and then after removing whatever is clogging it (usually hair) I use some draino for good measure

@birdofafeather: it really is amazing how it's so simple and it works like magic. After I tried it the first time I went and did all the drains in the house! Plus I love that it's green and doesn't use any harsh chemicals.

Drain and then undoing the pipe to remove the clog err my hair.

@Boopers: he says that option is not really that great either. He said it sounds like you might have a lot of hair clogging the drain. Although ZEP isn't harmful to your drain. He recommends putting a screen over your drain. The only way to truly fix your drain is to have it snaked out. Of course, there are a lot of variables that come into play with each clogged drain situation!
