Right now I'm reading the 3rd book in the Trylle trilogy. I think it's YA but whatev.

Moo Baa La La La by Sandra Boynton. No but seriously the last thing I read is sort of embarrassing - The One by Kiera Cass. It was the last in a trilogy. Sort of a dystopian Cinderella meets the bachelor. And now I think I have to turn in my English Literature degree for admitting that, haha.

@twodoghouse: haha! Don't feel bad. Have you read the Trylle Trilogy? It's about trolls, but like...sexy and cool trolls. HA!

I just finished a book called The Sword by Deborah Chester. It's fantasy... not sure yet. Its a trilogy, so i need to see where its going.
Before that, it was Outlander. I finally read it after hearing everyone rave around here. I wasnt blown away, but I liked it.

@twodoghouse: Hahaha, I just finished reading The Elite! I almost hate this series, but they're quick reads and basically sucked me in against my will!

I just read a book called The Girls Who Went Away and it was about unplanned single pregnancy in the 50's and 60's and the girls who were forced into maternity homes to have their babies and give them up for adoption. It was so fascinating and heavy

Just finished "Frog Music". So good.

I'm re-reading "the spirit catches you and you fall down" by Anne Fadiman for work. Good read, but a little too black and white for my way of seeing the world. It's about a Hmong family's understanding of their daughter's illness and their interface with Western medicine in Merced, CA.

@Mrs. Jacks: that is a required reading for a medical ethics class I'll be taking soon! One of my classmates told me about it and I added it to my read-list even before taking the class because it sounds so intriguing.

@scg00387: @Mrs. Pen: it's a great read for sure. There's an interesting anthropological critique of it too if you are interested... I could forward it along.

Currently reading "Paper Towns" by John Green. Just finished "Gone Girl".
I'm on a YA kick right now, some of them aren't all that "young" and they're easy light listening!

Just finished: a cheesy but good murder mystery - cant even remember name, my dad loaned it to me! Agent Pendergast series

The Wizard of Oz (the original). Mainly because I love classics but also because it was a gift from the HB gift exchange and also because I'm too tired before bed to read anything much deeper right now.

@blackbird: wow. I'll check that out. True story I'm assuming?
@MrsTiz: haha I've always loved YA. I'm finally branching out to *some* adult lit. Did you like gone girl? I'm starting that today.

@Mrs. Pen: It was pretty good! I listened to it on Audible (audio book) so I feel like my experience is always a bit different that way because I get to hear it like it's supposed to be heard..if that makes sense? I liked it, but it did take a while to pick up!
