I got sucked into the new Michael Connelly crime novel the other evening, and stayed up all night reading it!
Other than that, I've been reading a lot of long magazine articles online and have really cut back on my book reading. It's saved me a lot of money, but I miss reading books too!

I just finished reading all the Robert Langdon books. Never read them before. I read them out of order and finished "The Lost Symbol" last... which I found underwhelming.

@pui: that's the one I read first & fell in love lol my last favorite was Angels & Demons. I'm not even 100% sure I finished it! I read Inferno while pregnant, which probably wasn't the best idea ever lol

I just started the Harry Bosch series from the beginning! I've read the first two and am waiting for the 3rd to come off hold from the library.
I'm reading a book every day or two lately so I've read a lot lately. The one I finished today was the 14th Stephanie Plum book (Janet Evanovich). The one I finished yesterday was "The One" which was #3 in the The Selection series by Kiera Cass.

@Leialou: Yeah I though the end was kind of predictable... especially after just reading Angels and Demons.
I liked Inferno, mostly because I love the Divine Comedy!! I wish they had more references to it though.

You may want to hold off on watching though... I think they're pulling from the first few books for the show. The whole season should come out this spring!

Other than Courdoroy's Thanksgiving? Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Twins. Before that was Ferber's book and before that was Happiest Baby on the Block. Ahem, we've been having some sleep problems.

Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood.
Super exciting, I know. I also have a (what DH considers to be weird) habit of picking up books I've read a million times and just opening them to any page and starting to read them, I was doing that with Insurgent earlier because I'm excited that the movie trailer is being released soon! I insist that it's not a weird habit, it like when you're channel flipping and see that your favorite movie is on TV, so you just start watching it from whatever point it's at, and it doesn't even matter because you've seen/read it so many times.

I have been so bad about reading lately. It's taking me forever to get through two books - Goldfinch (which I do like and got me hooked from the beginning), and Looking for Alaska (by John Green, who wrote The Fault in Our Stars).

I was going to say the same as @Mrs. High Heels. What about using the library? I also subscribe to the BookBub newsletter. They send me a daily email about cheap or free ebooks.
But to answer your question, the last book I read was Girl in Translation for my book club. I am reading Wonder right now.

I am currently finishing up The Bean Trees, which I'm about to teach so it's not really pleasure reading. But! It's sooooo good! I like it so much that I feel nervous about whether the kids will like it. As if I wrote it or something!

For a fun vacation read, I read "this is where I leave you". The movie out in theaters with Jason Bateman, Tina fey, etc is based on it. I really liked it.

@autumnlove: do you like it? I heard it was very good & a quick read. I don't have much free reading time these days, so quick reads are ideal
'Discovering Computers'.... The most dry, painful textbook I've ever read. Part of me doesn't want to sell it back when I'm done & wants to use it in a bonfire instead, but book burning is very wrong. I want to read for fun again!

I'm reading my way through Agatha Christie -- I started because they were some of the only ebooks in our library that are "always available" (instead of having to put them on hold and wait). They're so good!

@mamimami: lol I know. A friend put them on my kindle for me and I waited until I had nothing else before I started it bc I was like meh another teen dystopian novel. But then I started it and I was like OMG soooo good (in a trashy indulgent way lol)

Just finished "Lovers at the Chameloeon Club, Paris, 1932" , an historically fictionalized novel of real people that was a pretty good read told

I second using Overdrive to download free books from the library. It's saved me a ton of money. I'm ALMOST finished with The Goldfinch. I feel like I've been reading this book my entire life. It's good, but really wordy and very depressing. I'm going to need a happy book once I'm done with it (I have around 30 pages left). Any recommendations?
