Yesterday, during lunch, my 3.5 year old asked me "mommy, why do you love daddy all the time and daddy love you all the time too?"
instant heart melt.
I proceeded to explain all the reasons why and asked her if she agreed and she said yes every time.

My 10.5 month old saw Mickey on a diaper package in the store today and pointed and high pitched screamed..
"Ohhhhh what's that?!"

We were driving somewhere the other day and LO1 said, "Mom, you're a good driver!" That made me very happy to hear because usually he is the worst backseat driver...always telling me I'm going too fast or I'm going the wrong way or just the standard "WATCH OUT!!!!"

This morning in bed I asked LO if he remembers being born, and he very seriously said "yes". We thought that was funny so I asked him, " where were you born?" And he said "California". So random and cute. He was born nowhere near CA, but he's been there to visit grandparents. It was just so cute how certain he was of his answer.

This morning he crawled into bed with me, snuggled up close and said "Mommy you made me happy. I love you", and then pulled my shirt up, said "good morning baby sister" and kissed my stomach.

We were at my aunt's house for Halloween and I was in the bathroom. I could hear DS1 looking for me. DH asked him what he needed. He said he could do anything mama could do and better. DS1 said, "but, she's my best friend!"

When I picked her up from daycare Friday she said "I missed you all day mom. You're my favorite friend!" usually she runs away and tried to hide when I show up because she loves daycare so much so this melted my heart!

I love you mom. He'll be 3 next month and it the first time he has ever said that to me!! Kid could have asked me for the moon and I would have fetched it for him in that moment!

She woke up early from her nap today and I've been solo parenting since Sunday, and am just so tired. So I got kind of upset. She patted me and said she would help me feel better- then gave me a flu shot.
Also my sister from CT was visiting. I asked where aunt K lives, she very seriously said, "in aunt K's house!" Can't argue with that.

We are pretty sure we settled on a name for LO2, and LO1 (17 months) repeated it perfectly the first time! So sweet to hear.

I work long weekend shifts and when I leave Saturday morning I don't see LO again until Monday morning. Last week when I came into the kitchen for breakfast, she saw me and her face lit up and yelled "Mommy back!! I miss you all day mommy." And then I got a big hug and a kiss attack.

DH travels a lot for work so when she said this to me my heart just melted.

K snuggled up to her baby brother and said 'Max, I so glad you come out Mommy's tummy'.
She also made me 'Awww' in a sad way. We were putting her hair in pigtails, and i forgot to clip up her bangs. She said 'Mommy, I need clips! I'm not beautiful yet!' I almost cried, then we had a chat about how she is always beautiful. Ugh- knife in the heart!

last week, ds1 was sitting next to his baby brother on the play mat and showing him the wee gallery art cards we have. "Look T, this is the cow. What does the cow do? Moo!" and then on to the next animal.
