10 hours here. That's when he goes without a feeding. And he won't go back to sleep after that. He just doesn't seem to need 12 hours overnight!
What about your baby?

So if your babies sleep 12 or so hours overnight have thy always slept that total amount of sleep? My LO on occasion would do 11 but not when he STTN.

@winniebee: that was only 1-2 times! She usually sleeps for 10-11 hours!
pomegranate / 3516 posts
She went 11.5 hours once. But lately she usually only goes 4-5, although it used to be 6-7.

11 hours - we are STUCK there and I would just love it if he'd go 12...the 5:30 am wake-up is killing us over here

@winniebee: 10 hours?! 6h here. But then he'll do 2-3h stretches after that for a total of 12h (I don't sleep all of them obviously).

@TurtleDoves: hahaha honey your baby is still so little! don't expect 10 hours
@mediagirl: oh no!!! she hasn't ever, even once, slept through the night? omg...

hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@TurtleDoves: haha yes by I've paid my dues - he's almost 7 mos!!
@FriedBabyMama: I would love 11! Bad but I've been pushing back his bedtime so that he will at least sleep til 530....

@highwire: wow 3 hrs is even pretty good for that age!

8 hours last night! He's 7 weeks old...I'm hoping for a repeat tonight.

@hilsy85: woah lucky lady! My LO didn't do that til 10w and it was just a fluke!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@emahlee: so when LO does 10 does he go back to sleep? Mine is WIDE awake after that.
squash / 13764 posts
@winniebee: I know! I'm pretty sure it's because we started using the swaddle me instead of A&A blankets (either that or it was a coincidence--but I'll take it!).
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@hilsy85: I hope it lasts! The first night we used the miracle blanket he slept 8.5 hrs and I thought we had arrives. Haha nope!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@scg00387: wow you could have a sleeper on your hands!
squash / 13764 posts
@winniebee: gahh oh no! Well here's hoping-he's sleeping now, let's hope he stays asleep!
honeydew / 7687 posts
@winniebee: I hope so.. I don't deserve it - I was a terrible sleeper as a baby, ha!!

The longest was 11 hours, but that only happened for two days! Now she is at a 9 hour stretch, and then goes 2-3 hours before waking up for the day. I would be happy if she went 10.5-11 hours. She is almost 8 months...SIGH!!!
pomegranate / 3204 posts
8 hours, and he's 8 months this has only happened once too! I can't wait till he's sleeping 12-13 hours a night, not counting on it anytime soon though!

Our older gal slept for 15 hours when she was about 10 months old. It was crazy, but also amazing, because we ALL got to sleep in until 10 AM!!!
Our youngest (at 9 months) normally does 11, eats and then is back down for another 2.
It seems like we have monster sleepers.

@mrsaudi: I don't think my son will sleep 12 hours straight ever. When he even sleeps 9 it is very difficult for him to fall back asleep.
coconut / 8681 posts
7 hours. It's definitely not consistent though. He'll do it here and there but normally his first/longest stretch of sleep during the night is closer to 5 hours.

I would say her longest is 16 hours, but that was just once.
She regularly sleeps 14 hours.

11-12 hours which is becoming more his norm just starting this week.
@winniebee: my DS used to only do 10 like yours, but just started sleeping more this week. DS us almost 9 months old so maybe your LO will start sleeping longer as he gets older. It seems to have started because he is staying awake more during the day.
