@zippylef: SIXTEEN HOURS? Holy cow! Even 14 is just crazy to me! My son only gets 14 hours in a 24 hour period!
@creativemomma15: that's awesome! yeah, I hope as he gets older he starts doing 11. the 5 am wake up is just brutal!

@winniebee: 5 am is rough! We went through a stage of that too and I was exhausted!

@winniebee: He usually wakes up 2-3 hours for a feed AFTER we put him down for bed and then he does his longest stretch then. It's not too bad of an arrangement. The rare times that he sleeps the longest stretch first, he does go back down for another 2-3 hours.
Your LO must be eager to play with you in the mornings (:

@emahlee: Sleeping 2-3 first is actually kind of great, then you benefit from the longest stretch! He's just never been a big sleeper, I guess. This morning he woke at 5, but did eventually fall back asleep from 5:30-6:30 while I got ready for work....

We got our longest stretch last night of 8 hours! He's almost 8 weeks old. Usually he's been 5-6 hours so I won't get my hopes up that this is his new trend.
