I spray her directly then wipe usually. Sometimes I spray the wipe, but not always. Yeah it takes a while to feel wet enough that way, I guess because of the wipe's absorbency.

Disposable wipe user but would like to change....what kind of wipe do you use? Baby wash cloths?

I found an etsy seller that sells 25 bamboo wipe sets for about a dollar a piece, so I might pick up those. I think I will make a wipe solution with tea tree oil and witch hazel, then pre-soak them and use a wipe warmer to store them in. I will probably use a spray bottle with solution for travelling. That is just my plan for now though, I might tweak the system as things go on. I think as long as you properly maintain your wipe warmer (clean it out with anti-bacterial solution before refilling every 2-3 days) that it should keep quite clean, plus the tea tree oil and witch hazel in the wipes solution should suppress bacterial growth.

Have you thought about wetting just enough for one or half a day's use every day? That way they aren't just sitting there but you have them presoaked.
And I really like Thristies cloth wipes.

We change diapers in the bathroom, so I use my sink to wet the washcloths.
