I like it when the kids get really excited to see us... when they see our face and light up with joy! I figure it won't last forever, so we'd better enjoy every minute of it!

Knowing that I know the little guy better than anyone else. I just love him so much I feel like my heart could burst. I also love the little things- the chubby arm escaped from the swaddle, the slobbery hands (LO loves eating his hands lately), the reactions to certain songs, etc.

The heavy, soft feeling of a baby asleep on my chest. How funny she looks when she laughs in her sleep. The feeling of being able to stop her crying (most of the time).

The smiles, laughter, the way that he falls asleep on me during our night wakeup, his look of excitement he gets when he's about to be nursed.

1) Watching them learn, grow, and develop. Learning how to talk is probably one of my favorite things.
2) Comforting them when they're sad or need me. Both my kids are pretty independent (WJ much more than LMW) but knowing you're needed and wanted just makes you feel so important and good about yourself.

I love watching him learn new skills and discover new things, seeing him interact with other kids and adults, and his excitement and sheer happiness when we sees us.

Laughing together, dancing together...it's also pretty amazing seeing them develop from day to day, stage to stage.
