I have Instagram and a few other editing apps, but none that you can use to add writing and so on. But I'd like to be able to whip up a cute birth announcement for texting and Facebook as soon as Cricket is born, so I need to find a nice, non-cheesy one. Ideas?

I really like Rhonna Designs. You can add text and filters to photos, but there are also lots of design packs with cool icons and chalkboard type text. There are many birthday specific add ons. This is the invite I created:
