My mom and I will be making a strawberry rubarb pie tomorrow for LO's naming on Sunday. I'm not a big rubarb fan. My favorite pie every is blueberry cream. Yum!

@artbee: Yes. It has chocolate. Actually, my favorite peanut butter pie in the world is at the original Frenchy's on Clearwater Beach. So good!!

@mediagirl: What's a chocolate chess pie? A naming is a Jewish ceremony where we'll give LO her Hebrew name. Rabbi will come over and perform the ceremony, then we celebrate and eat!

@artbee: Oh my gosh! Frenchy's is the first place I go when I go home to visit. Not all locations have the fish spread, so you have to be careful. My sister got married on Sand Key and we actually stopped at Frenchy's for fish spread on the way since we were running a little ahead of schedule. lol.

@PBandBaseball: I think the only one that doesn't is Rockaway, which sucks because that's the one on the beach. But we like to take our dog and only one of them allows dogs, luckily they also have fish spread. DH suggested that we eat there on our first date, but it was spring break so we ended up going somewhere else instead. But I knew I would like him when he said Frenchys!

A chocolate chess pie is a southern pie that is just really dense chocolate pie and the top gets crunchy. It's so delicious with ice cream on it.

@mediagirl: Different people do it different ways. You can have it at the temple, but services start so late that LO would just be a big cranky mess, so we thought daytime would be better. It's going to be at my mom's house. We're having close friends and family.

Beef pie (I have a recipe from an American Girls cookbook that is awesome). Otherwise... I dunno. DH's favorite is caramel apple pie, so I make a pretty darn good version of that. Coconut cream and pumpkin pie are pretty high up there.

My favorite is peanut butter cream or chocolate! I like the more pudding/whipped cream kind of pies but I wouldn't turn down a piece of cherry pie either! ha
