We're currently starting work on our baby girl's nursery and so I'm loving looking at all sort of nursery photos for inspiration. Currently all we have is the painted walls and one lamp. HA! But all the ideas are about to come together, (I just have a lot of shopping in my immediate future.)
What's your favorite element of your LO's nursery? Photos always welcome.

My very favourite thing is her rocking chair. Its a plain wooden rocker, but DH's mom rocked him in it when he was a baby. I sanded it and painted it purple, and I LOVE it.

Our awesome glider! We went with the "sofa" style chair and I've never been happier about a decision to buy furniture. LO is now 14 months and I've used it so much already, including sleeping in it when he was sick. The thing was definitely priceless as a nursery item and I've spent many hours rocking my boy in it.

The glider is the most practical thing because we sit in it before every night and every nap.
But my favorite is my little print that says "you're gonna miss this." I wrote a post on it (link in profile and you can search for it) but basically I knew that the sleepless nights would be hard, and the fevers and lack of naps, etc. but that ultimately I would miss the little stage and I stared at it and took it to heart.
Although its 100% true, I do miss each little stage of her life, I feel like I took it all in and didn't take any of it for granted because of that printable.
So I would say find something meaningful to you and make sure to put that in the nursery. Especially in the wall you would stare at while sitting in the glider / rocker

I love our glider, but for personal touch I painted 4 canvases with the lyrics to You Are My Sunshine (which my dad sang to me as a kid and at our wedding!). I love it and hope DS will too. (I would post a pic but he's in bed!

@Beanie132: I use it for both. it's comfortable enough for short periods and I like that I can't fall asleep in it if I'm feeding A in the night. Dh loves it! I also like that A can use it later on

My most favorite things in my son's nursery was the alphabet I painted on the wall over the crib and the series of 4 sleeping animal canvases that my husband and I painted. I would love to use them in my son's current room, but the colors are off.

My favorite thing is the day bed we got from Ikea. It's just so perfect for small spaces - extends into a king for guests and has huge storage drawers.

We didn't decorate our nursery. Put in a few pieces of furniture and called it a day. However, our glider was super useful during the first few months and his dresser/changing station was also super useful! We used it daily!

So hard to choose! All the DIY things I did mean a lot to me, and I've spent a lot of time in the glider. Probably my #1 fave thing is a canvas of one of her newborn photos on the gallery wall and a photo from our maternity shoot.
