I just finished curtains for our dining room. I'm a little obsessed. Next up is an ottoman coffee table for our living room and pillows and curtains!

@Mrs. J: I LOVE those!!! I wish I could sew! I'm trying my hand at crochet though! Anyway.. I just made this for my friend as a graduation present from law school. She is a MAJOR "friends" fan!!!

@Mrs. J: Great job! I have a sewing machine that my DH won from a raffle ticket party at work. I think I will make pillows first.
@Blueberry: That is so creative! I remember that episode. I LOVED friends and looked forward to it weekly back then.

I need to make a runner for my dining room table but I am having a difficult time finding the fabric that I like, no idea what I am really looking for.
Next project is to make a cornice for the guest room window. I am thinking of making it out of insulation foam board!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: @Blueberry: yes! I think that is one of the funniest episodes. Great idea.
@Mrs. J: tell me more about how you made those! Do you have a round about idea of the cost? We're moving into a new rental house that doesn't have any blinds, so I started looking into curtains--the price made me feel weak!

@Blueberry: Yes yes yes! That is amazing!!
@scg00387: That's awesome!!!! I need to make something like that for our Church bag
@Reese: That's so cool!! Was it hard?
@Mrs. J: Beautiful! They turned out amazing, and definitely look store-bought and professional!
This is on IG and my due-date thread, but I stenciled L's wall and refinished a cabinet for her room

It's not really a pretty DIY, but the other day I set up a series of hooks and strings and stuff so that it will be easier for me to switch out mobiles for my LO.

I need to make a new runner to go under my TV. I'm currently still displaying my holiday runner, and it's an easy way to bring some color into that part of my living room. Plus, that means less of my TV stand that I have to dust.

I made a really cute clouds & rain mobile for baby about a week ago, but I'm waiting for DH to do the hanging since it requires drilling and someone who can stand in an uncomfortable position making sure it gets placed right

My SIL is about 34 weeks pregnant right now with her 4th, and I'm going to be making her a baby blanket. Just a simple one with the cotton waffle weave fabric, and silk around the edges! She requested green!
Also I'm going to be making her a carseat canopy! I can't wait until I have LO's and I can make all this fun stuff for myself!

@Mrs. J: I love that fabric! I've had that pinned for awhile waiting until we are in our own house!
@swurlygurl: So cute! I love the stenciled wall!!
I love seeing everyone's projects!! We are moving so I haven't made much recently, but I'm hoping to sew one last summer shirt for LO before we have to pack up the sewing machine!

@Happygal: they are lined curtains with a faux pinch pleat ( I used curtain ring clips to get the look). I would say I found the fabric for 18 dollars/yard online (it runs upwards of 26/yd sometimes) and the lining was probably 5/yard at JoAnns. I got around 12 yards for almost floor length panels, but I did a doubled hem ( so I allowed 12 inches for the top and bottom hems). I mostly used this tutorial :
http://www.houseofhepworths.com/2011/10/12/how-to-make-professional-lined-curtain-panels/
, but also this one:
http://sewmanyways.blogspot.com/2012/10/how-to-make-lined-drapespicture-tutorial.html?m=1
and just combined which aspects I wanted to do.
Depending on the fabric you choose, it's not always cheaper than say Target panels, but I wanted it to be something I really liked and I was having a hard time finding store bought ones that fit the bill.

@Mrs.Someone: I had to wait for DH to hang the new curtain rods! I just wanted to get them up, but he wasn't in a hurry.
