"No", which depending on the inflection can be No, Nose, or Milk, lol.
Also Potty is a new favorite.
And he says K and Q a ton, too.

Lately we are hearing "thank you, mommy/daddy" a lot more frequently.

Ball, if he sees anything that remotely resembles a ball, he says "BALL!" (DS is 17 months)

It's a phrase "right here." Her thing right now is to say "Mommy's right here" or "Daddy's right here" or "Elmo's right here" and so on. Every single day DH and I get to learn about who is right here with us, the cats, the spoon, the bed, her socks, everything is "right here!"

"Bubble?" as in, "Bubble Guppies?" A close second is "No Bubble" because that's what we say to her when she asks to watch TV too much! She's 19 months.

@Mrs. Pen: haha, DS attempts to say basketball too! His version of football is "upp ball". Love it!

@lilyann: I'm surprised at how clearly J says it - everyone can tell what he's saying. How old is your LO?
nectarine / 2878 posts
@Mrs. Pen: 17 months but is no where near as clear as how your DS says it! Most of the time it's "bass-BALL!".

@lilyann: he'll get there! It is amazing how much their vocabulary and enunciation changes in just a few months. My dude is 24 months now and I am astonished at how clearly he speaks!
But every time they learn a new word it is just the most precious thing. I've loved watching his language development!

Broosh. Its what she calls her wubbanubs. (Why, I don't know.) If she doesn't have one she crawls around saying "Broosh, broosh, broosh." We're trying to cut them out except for naps and bedtime so there's a lot of "broosh-ing" at our place right now. It cracks me up.

@Elderberrygin: that's so interesting - my LO calls her pacifier "boosh" or "beesh"; so very similar! We have no idea why or where she came up with that, but when she can't find a pacifier (which seems like always), she'll walk around going "beesh, are you beesh?"

@yoursilverlining: That's so funny! We've been trying to figure it out for ages. She goes to a Spanish speaking daycare and we spent ages looking for a Spanish word it might be but came up blank.

Baby, definitely. It's sort of like bah-bee, bah-bee, bah-bee and ends up sounding like some sort of sports chant or something.

Emmo for Elmo. All the time. I guess it's my fault for DD having elmo books, slippers, sippy cup, utensils and doll. It's all I hear these days.

@Habesbabe We have the SAME child! Everything is "Bubble" (for Bubble Guppies) for my 19 month old.

No. It's actually been frustrating because he answers no when we word quiz him sometimes now and it seems he is very fond of asserting his independence with the use of it.

DADA!!! She loves to exclaim that even when dad isn't around.
She also loves saying "toes"! So cute.
