Love them as long as they're not rhyme-y

I had one! My first name and my maiden name were both H names. I hated it!! I would try hard never to do it to my kid. I don't mind it for other people though!

Hahahahh this was a major issue with us!! We wanted to name LO after a relative with the same first letter as our last name. It just sounded weird and stripper-y superhero-y so we picked a different name just for that reason. Weird, huh?

I don't mind! DH's initials are all Js. And his middle name is a nickname of his first - Think Matthew Matt Lastname (but that's not his name).

I'm trying to avoid it when picking names. I won't even look at any C or K names!

My daughter has an alliterative name. We didn't choose her name to purposely be alliterative with our last name and I was on the fence a about it because I know some people hate it, but in the end our love of "Luna" won out Noone has mentioned the alliteration at all yet lol

I love them, but I couldn't convince DH that we should do it - I had the perfect girl name for it, though no boy name...

I am a big fan of Aaron Sorkin - characters on his shows frequently have alliterative names! CJ Cregg, Sam Seaborn, Sloane Sabbath, MacKenzie McHale... super dork alert!

We had a couple names that we liked for DS, but they started with and H, like our last name, so we nixed them. They just aren't for us.

I love them! DH *really* wanted to give our LO an alliterative name but I wasn't in love with any of the names of that initial. We call them superhero names.

i actually really love it. i always think of andi anderson and benjamin barry from how to lose a guy in 10 days. and i think it's precious! i feel like if they ever have a job in the public eye like politics or journalism or something it's super cute and catchy! our last name starts and ends with O though, so it's hard to find contenders... or i'd totally consider it!

I love them!! Our last name begins with CH, though (sounding like "chip") so we couldn't really use one. All I could think of was Chester Cheetah...

It just depends I guess. Some sound nice to me and some don't. My first name and married last name start with the same sound amd I like it.

I don't really mind them. My name, my DH's name, our son's name and our last name (and my maiden) all start with the same letter!

I think mostly it doesn't matter? Technically I am one of these, my initials are CC?

I like them. January Jones has such a cool name IMO.

I don't mind it at all but of course if varies depending on the specific sounds and syllables

Like @Mrs. Pen our last name ends in an "en" sound and so we generally avoided thinking of first names that ended in the same sound

It always makes me think of a cartoon character (Mickey Mouse, Roger Rabbit, Daffy Duck, etc.) Kind of silly for a real person. We're definitely avoiding it.
