We're planning an overseas trip to see my family, it'll be the first time for everyone to meet LO. I've been living abroad for awhile now and although we've visited a few times, we only ever see very close friends and relatives when we're there.

When we visit this time, we'll likely see EVERYONE. Which includes aunties that I haven't seen in years. On 2 separate occasions, an aunt has been at my mom's house when I call and they've both busted out all sorts of unsolicited baby advice. I mean basic things, like ... "be careful, you need to buy blahblahblah so she doesn't hit her head on the corner" ... "you need to do X so she doesn't do Y," etc .. etc.. etc.

I cringe a little but try to smile (I'm on Skype) through it, but I sense this will be a problem when I actually see them all in person.

What's your trick to ignoring unsolicited baby "advice"? I used to be a 10000x better at this, but since living here, I've lost my zen. How do you deal?
