Around 2 months with both LOs. They didn't like it very much.

We transitioned out of the muslin a&a swaddle bc he kept breaking out at about 2.5 months to an arms out swaddle for about a week and now he sleeps in a sleepsack with no issues at 3 months

We switched from swaddling in blankets to using SwaddleMes and the swaddling sleep sacks pretty early on. Mainly because we weren't very good at blanket swaddling! We also never swaddled her hands in, so she was more likely to come loose.

Both of mine liked being swaddled. G still is at 6 weeks. C I want to say it was about 4 months she started breaking out and we switched to the Merlin suit for about a month, then to the Halo sleep sack with the Velcro flaps- we wrapped them around her chest but not arms so she still had that tight feeling.

Went from a swaddle to a gro bag at 1 month and never looked back! She kept busting out of the swaddle sack we had. I don't think she liked her arms being restricted and she either sleeps with them by her face or up flat against the bed. She also started sucking on her hands a lot at 2 months so it was good that her hands were free.

Until 3.5 months. DD learned how to roll from back to belly so we transitioned her to just sleeping in a footed sleeper. She immediately turned into a stomach sleeper.

DD wasn't rolling back to belly, but we sleep trained the day she turned 5 months, and switched to a sleep sack. She had been busting out of the swaddle for about a month.

Omg those pictures are too cute. I will have to get one of these! DS is still sleeping swaddled (10 weeks). He does get "arms out time" (using a halo sleep sack) about 2/3 of the way through each night!

She rolled in her swaddle 4 months to the day.

As soon as we got home from the hospital. Girlfriend hated having her arms contained.

I think it was about 4 months. She just could not be contained. And then it was summer and just too hot and either wore just a diaper, onesie, or some footed jammies.

With Xander, we stopped swaddling by 2 weeks because he just seems to hate it and slept fine without it. With Logan it was more like 2 months. We just couldn't figure out which he preferred, but eventually we just stopped trying to swaddle and it was fine.

With all three we stopped once they were breaking out of the swaddles.....soooo three days!
My girls have not liked swaddling at all.

I forget, maybe ~3 mos. She really liked to suck her fingers & self soothing seemed more important to her than being swaddled. I did get both size Merlin Sleep Suits, but she had already started rolling onto her tummy by then, & while she couldn't in the suit, she seemed happier being able to sleep on her tummy. So after a couple weeks of intermittent use of the suits, I gave up & stopped using them so she could roll over. She's 8mos now & has been in sleep sacks for the warmth & keeping her feet out from between the slats in her crib.

I stopped attempting to swaddle him as soon as he got home from the hospital. It was clear that he liked sleeping with his arms up and I wasn't about to do something that would prevent him from sleeping.

3-ish months when he started breaking the swaddle. But he still didn't want to be totally free so we did the Merlin too. Loved them, he slept so well and they are too freaking cute. We stopped those around 4/4.5 months when he started rolling in them.

DS1- stopped at 4 months once he could roll back to belly.

DS2 - stopped at 5.5 months. Tried multiple times from 4-5.5 months and just was hell! He could roll from 4m on, but we couldn't break him of the habit! We quit cold turkey once he was out of the rock n play

We were done swaddling sometime before 10 weeks? We transitioned using the Halo swaddle sacks and freed one arm at a time. By the time he was 12 weeks, he slept with the flaps wrapped around his torso. He hated being swaddled.
