@runnerd: @JoJoGirl: Guess the market is doing better then with all these fast sales! Or they won a lottery and aren't sharing. lol

Getting ready to move internationally very shortly! So unbelievably stressed out! It's not our first international move (third, actually) but with a baby on the way and three kitties to relocate, stress has consumed our lives

We just moved to dc about 2yrs ago, and to our current apt a year ago. Not moving until we buy in 1-2yrs or move from the area in 1.5yrs. A lot is up in the air about where we want to put some roots down. I'm thinking Texas, DH wants to stay in DC.

@lioneyes: fun! Far drive?
@however briefly: that is a big move! You coming back to the States?

@however briefly: Exciting! Whereabouts are you moving? We're doing our third international move as well but this is our first time doing it with kids - a 20 month old and a one month old! Stressful does not even begin to describe it.
@LovelyPlum: Thanks!

Not anytime soon! I'm glad because I've moved every year for the past 10 years. Well be here at least 2.5 more years and probably longer.

Not us! We will be looking for a bigger (and most likely "forever") home in about 5 years though.

Here's our moving crazy: In a couple weeks to another city, and six weeks after that into our own place in that city. Dh will be commuting between the two cities (by plane!) and keeping his current job. (It's not a 9-5 so his "weekends" can be many days in a row depending on his work schedule. Then in a couple years we will buy a "house" (townhouse, whatever, depending where we are) and that will either be back here (if dh has a good promotion opportunity) or in the place we're moving to. I know it's not the traditional, everyone works m-f 9-5 and spends sat/sun together, but we have it figured so we have a good amount of time together and it will be quality time. It seems like it's going to work out for us, at least for the next few years, but I know it sounds crazy.

We just bought our forever house so hopefully never! We agreed to buy a forever house before we had a baby, I hate moving. Ill gladly never move again.

@LovelyPlum: Yep, we're excited to live Stateside for the first time in ten years!
@Ree723: We're moving back to the States this time around! We actually put off TTC for a year so that our due date would be a couple of months after this move just because I didn't want to deal with getting a visa or actually moving with the baby. So glad we decided that because I'm already stressed out and I don't even have to worry about a baby! I feel for you!! I hope your move goes as quickly and stress free as it can!

Probably in about a year to a year and a half. And we have no idea where it will be as of right now. Stressful! Hopefully DH can start looking at post-docs sometime this summer, but his lab will be crazy, so we will have to see!

Sigh. Such a hot topic in our house!
We want to move. We have to stay in our current home until September because of the home-tax credit we got when we bought 5 years ago. We've been searching for fun, to see what kind of houses we can afford in our price range. There isn't much on the market & we are hoping more comes on once school gets closer to letting out, but right now.. the houses in our price range are pretty damn similar to ours, and why would we move + have a higher mortgage for the same damn house?
Then we toyed around with the idea of building or maybe even putting on an addition, in the "hmmm, wouldn't it be nice if..." sense.
Last night we found the.perfect.home (omg...) that's an arms reach out of our budget. My DH suggested we stay here for a few more years, save save save, & be able to afford a more expensive house so we can GET our dream house.
Whew. long story. sorry!

Probably not for another 3 more years. We're still in our starter home.

We are buying our condo right now, and will probably need to move in about 3 years for more space- that's probably when we will make the leap to the suburbs though it's not set in stone. Hopefully we will be able to hang on to this place as a rental and not have to deal with selling/buying/moving all at once.
