So I know in the States majority of yous don't put up xmas decorations before your thanksgiving, but I'm soooo tempted to put up our tree like this weekend.
I know we won't but will opt to decorate outdoors before the snow/chilly arrives! but im thinking I might put up our tree the following week.
We got a new tree, so I'm so excited to decorate this year!!! Plus, it's Mavrick's first "real christmas" as in "he will actually interact with us"

We usually put up our Christmas decor the week after Thanksgiving. But, DH and I just discussed yesterday that we'll start putting up our exterior lights in the next couple of weekends before it gets really cold out... Last year, it was bitter cold in December and it was such a chore having to put up all of our lights.

We will put the tree up right after Thanksgiving but I did start addressing my Christmas cards last night so I can have them all ready to go before the Holiday madness starts.

Maybe the weekend after Thanksgiving? We are hosting Thanksgiving this year, and although my mom leaves her tree up year-round so she wouldn't think it was weird, my MIL might think we were a little strange to have it up before that.
Growing up we always put the tree up for my birthday which is the first week of December. I loved celebrating my birthday that way!

Ya our thanksgiving is in October (I never understood why we had a different date then you US peeps) so ya, clearly my tree will be up before your thanksgiving. ha

Agreed with others! After Thanksgiving! Especially since my hubs and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year, I want to have Autumn decor up and not Christmas decorations, haha.

We will decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving. My parents are going to be in town so I think my Dad and husband will have to get all of the decorations out of the scuttle-hole attic this year. My husband has told me that I am not allowed to go into the attic this year. Hrmph.

We've normally done sometime in the beginning of December, but since we have a fake tree this year (real all others), we might change that. We won't do a ton of decorating, just a tree and maybe some lights along our balcony. We'll see.

We typically don't decorate until the weekend after Thanksgiving and I take all of the time from then until Christmas to finish decorating. THen,, we leave ours up until the Feast of Ephiphany. However, this is our first Christmas as a married couple and I'm so excited about it! We are getting a new tree that is prelit and we just have a lot of cool stuff to put out. Last year we were getting ready to get married in less than a month and I just didn't have it in me to do a big tree, so this year we are going all out. I will put up some THanksgiving stuff, but we are decorating Christmas on Hubby's next long weekend, (NOvember 19).
I'll admit, though, that I'm really tempted to start decorating tonight when I take down the Halloween decorations.

We've hosted Thanksgiving for the past couple of years and for whatever reason, my husband always demands that the Xmas tree is UP for Thanksgiving. We will probably start putting up winter decorations in the next couple of weeks.

I plan to put the lights up this weekend, but i won't light them until after thanksgiving. I just want to get them up before we get a lot of snow--we usually get some kind of nasty snowstorm around thanksgiving and it is NOT pleasant to be outside on a ladder! The tree will wait until after thanksgiving too. Maybe even closer to Christmas--the cats go after it and it drives me nuts!!

We put everything out over the long weekend (Thanksgiving). We usually get a real tree, so we don't have much of a choice when that stuff goes up

Well, we just got married and I don't have any decorations yet, so that settles things I'm looking forward to slowly acquiring decorations, though! Makes me happy to think about.
When we do have decorations, I imagine we won't put ours up til after Thanksgiving, but I LOVE seeing all of the stores all decked out already

My birthday is in mid-December and my mom always waited until the day after my birthday to put everything up because she didn't want to overshadow my day. Now I usually put everything up the first weekend in December because I want to have time to actually enjoy all of my hard work.

I'm a stickler on not putting out Xmas decor until after Thanksgiving! We always spend the holidays at my parents so we just have a teeny-tiny tree for us although this year since we have a fireplace, I'm going to make stockings I think!

Whenever my husband does. haha. He's more into christmas then I am and he has a whole tradition on what music to play and what movies to watch. I just help out when he does start decorating.
Oh, I do also help out by putting the dog into cute outfits that she LOVES!

We're going to put them up the weekend after Thanksgiving. I've already been shopping for a lot of new decorations since we just moved to a house this year. It's a little daunting since our neighborhood is REALLY into decorating.

I usually start the first week of December, especially since we do a real tree every year. That way it still looks and smells good for Christmas. I find it odd when people decorate before Rememberance day, kind of like they are skipping over/don't care about it.

My dad's birthday is the 10th of December so my mum never let us put up the decorations before Dad's birthday - it was usually the weekend after. We had the discussion just a couple of days ago that we want our tradition to be that we put out our decorations the first week of December - I'm thinking that we'll do our Christmas open house in the earlier part of December as my bestie is due with her first on the 19th, so they'll need to be up by then!

Growing up my mom had a rule, we each put up an ornament a day starting with December first for a couple weeks, that way we got to decorate without having to do it all at once.
We'll probably have the same rule, but my husband won't be back from his current work trip until December 10th, which is when we'll decorate this year.

I usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving weekend is usually taken up with going out and cutting down a tree and actually getting it into the house and starting to get the lights on it. It's kind of a process.
