8 months I think. I had to switch to plastic bottles as the glass bottles were just too heavy for DS to willingly hold.

She didn't ever hold her own bottle. She could, but didn't like to. Why would she when I would do it for her? When she reached a year and there was no more bottle I just never held her sippy so there was no choice in the matter.

Hmmm. I am thinking he started holding a bottle around 8 months, but it depended on how much was in it. Around 8-9 months he had his own unique way of holding his sippy cup, but he made it work on his own!

Yes LO holds both his bottles and sippy cups. It was around 7 months.

He started holding his bedtime bottle at 6 months (lying down on the change table) and the sippy was right around that time too...maybe a week later.
