I'm 11.5 months postpartum, we still nurse during the night so I'm assuming that's why AF hasn't made her appearance. We would like to start TTC in the spring so I'm thinking I'll have to get on night weaning.
When did your cycles start again? Were you fairly regular right away?

Mine didn't come back until I fully weaned. Came back about 2 weeks after and it's been very regular since.

Oh wow! Hmm I wasn't planning on weaning anytime soon. So interesting how every woman is so different! Hopefully I'll just have to night wean.

I was nursing morning and evening and pumping during the day and I still got mine just under 8 months pp. It conveniently came back about a week after DD dropped the 4:30am feed and started sleeping through.

Regular 6 months pp and I was exclusively nursing. It definitely seems to differ for different people.
Also, it's possible to get pregnant while nursing still.

@lolabee: yeah I think it's really different for everyone! Hopefully the night wean will do the trick! I was only nursing 1-2x a day and i still didn't have AF, but I had friends who nursed for a long time that got AF after 3 months. Bizarre.

Miss A was EBF and still night feeding and AF came back at 14.5 months pp. I blame a small stretch of almost STTN in early December!

@Kemma: thanks!! My LO doesn't STTN but you're giving me hope that it's around the corner soon. I just started going to a physiotherapist who specializes in pelvic floor issues and she thinks my estrogen levels are low and contributing to my cycle not returning..

Came back at 13 months with LO1. Hasn't come back yet with LO2. He's turning 13 months this week!

I was still pumping at work and nursing during the day when mine came back around 9 mos PP. It was a few weeks after I stopped waking up overnight to pump, don't know if that impacted it or not. It came back regular, exactly like my previous cycles had been, right away.

Still hasn't came back at 12.5 months. And I'm still nursing 4 times a day.

With my son, around 10 months PP. I'm 3.5 months PP now, EBF, but got the copper iud a little over a month ago. I currently have bleeding that seems period like, but I think it must be my body getting used to the iud
