We probably call him "budgie" more than his real name, heh. Or "little guy", or "baby", or "the one who has been assigned to us", lol!

LO is 4 months and I call him little man more than his name but we've had some run-ins about his name so little man is pretty low conflict (he's a Junior and we call him Junior but some family members call him by his whole first name, which is what DH goes by, then they bitch that its confusing and we should've given him "his own name") so not using his name avoids drama.

It took a few weeks. I kept saying "whoa, this is her name and I had the power to pick it!". And then I was like, what if I made a mistake?

We rarely call him by his name! Since he's so smiley, he earned the name Cheeseball, and I call him Turkey when he fusses... So somehow my husband has evolved that into 'My little turkey cheese sandwich' hahaha.
And when I'm tired I always accidentally call him the dog's name, which also starts with a C

It took a while. Maybe a month? I called her "the baby" too.

Now, with #2, I keep calling her "it" even though I know it's a girl.

Oh gosh! I think I just got used to it and she's like 10 months. Mostly I use it when she's doing something naughty. Oh wellz. She's "the baby" otherwise. Plus we're weird in my house and rarely use our first names. I call my sisters "sister" or "sibling".
