And what was it?
DS is 10.5 months and I'm sooo anxious for him to say his first word! He can make dadadada sounds and says them a lot but hasn't connected dad with it. He doesn't try to copy us yet either.
When did your LO say their first word?

charlie's first word was ball just before his first birthday. olive's first word is more ambiguous... she was saying uh oh and wow before her first birthday. she was saying mama and bye bye but stopped, so maybe she wasn't ever saying them.

@Mrs. Bee: haha I love when babies said "wow" and "whoa" sooo cute! Cobi hasn't made and "w" sounds yet though.

M started saying something yesterday. We're still not sure if it was dada or blah blah.

Lala's first word was "hi" at 7 months, followed shortly by mama.
M's first word is more ambiguous. She said "hi" in response to us saying it at 10 months, but she doesn't say it on her own, so I'm not counting it. She does say dog, but says it more like "gog" at 10.5 months. She said mama to me the other day, but hasn't done it again, so I won't count it either.

DS was 12 months by the time he was consistently saying mama and dada, he didn't say anything else until 15 months, and only said about 10 words until he was 2...I was kind of worried but he speaks just fine now! I'm not sure if this is true but all of my family and friends have said their boys were slower to talk than their girls.
