DH said he heard a laugh a couple weekends ago. I am not so sure. Since then occasionally we will get an excitement shriek but usually just a smile.
When did you LO start laughing all the time?

My daughter did this single chuckle thing for months, and started really laughing around 5 months.

her first belly laughs were in her sleep! usually while or right after nursing, I heard the first around 2.5 months old. her first OUT LOUD, on purpose belly laugh wasssss.. (have to consult baby book!) okay, can't find a date for that. but it says first laugh in sleep at 10 weeks!

Mine is trying so hard to laugh right now at 3 months. It's this big grin and breathy laugh. Hard to explain, but super cute. I'm so excited for her to start really laughing. I hope it's soon

I think sometime around 4 months - I don't remember the specific first time but there was a little giggle-fest he had a little after hitting 4 months when I knew he had hit the laughing milestone

She started around 10 weeks, a little giggle hear and there. Now, at 13 weeks she's started full on laughing!

Mine is a serious little girl and didn't start really laughing until 8 months. She chuckled once in a blue between 4-8 months, but no real giggle fits or anything.

Xander's almost 5 months but still doesn't really laugh. He kind of does this "heh heh heh" laugh, but it's not a lot. And definitely no belly laughs yet. Oh well. Guess Hubs and I aren't that funny.

R,
You really need to start laughing. All the other cool babies on HB are doing it.
Love,
Mommy

@Adira: @Smurfette:
It drove me nuts that LO wasn't laughing like other babies- not for the milestone reason, but because I was acting such a fool to get her to give one measly cough/ chuckle!
I would say mine didn't start laughing regularly (like everyday) until 11ish months. Now at 14 months it is giggle and squeals non stop. So much fun. And I am still acting a fool for her

@lizzywiz: So glad to hear that some babies are just slow in the laughing department! I can't wait for Xander to laugh more regularly!!!

Like 3 1/2 months it happened once. Then almost exactly at 4 months it started becoming a regular occurrence.

@Smurfette: around 3.5ish months? She also used to do little chuckles in her sleep (before that). Every once in a while she will still smile/laugh in her sleep . . . although only while I am holding her. My heart breaks and heals into a bigger, better version of itself every single time. I totally credit my LO for bringing me back to life in so many ways.

@MsLipGloss: R will smile in her sleep too. Melts my heart. I sort of hate that we sleep trained, now I miss rocking her to sleep and getting snuggles.

She's been doing this slow "Heh. Heh. Heh." thing for ages. Maybe since two months? But she's just starting to make little giggling sounds occasionally.

She's pretty giggly - she started little laughs a few days after 3 months and at 5 months she laughs like crazy! It doesn't take much, a funny face, the dog, sometimes nothing! She's a real goof!

My first LO around 4 months, second one super early around 3 months. Part of our bath time routine is tickle time while the bath is filling- they love it and will actually start giggling preemptively when we lay them on the bed.
