I don't think my 11 month old has very good listening skills. He is just starting to understand "no."
When did your LO start following directions?

DD was around 10-11 months when she understood No. She would give us a cheeky grin and reach for whatever we were trying to dissuade her from anyhow.

My LO is 1 year and she understands No, but she doesn't listen! She either smiles and does it anyway or she starts to do her mad, yelling at me babble and then cries.
She will follow other directions like "come here" or "give me a kiss" and "show me your belly button."

hmm... I think a month ago? so 10.5 or 11 months.
She understands things like "take your jacket off" (she TRIES to take it off), "go get your monkey book," "put it back," "go find your shoe," etc. It is quite fascinating how much of what we say she understands. She usually listens to what I say if she understands it. She is bad with "no" though. She usually just looks at me at grins (like when I say "no" as she drops my designer sunglasses into the toilet).
