LO is almost 21 months, and we have a potty seat that she's sat on a few times but I just don't think she's ready yet. I don't think it's too far off though! When did you start potty training and how did you know LO was ready?

I'm going to chime in here even though we haven't started.
I plan on introducing the potty seat once we get back from vacation in June. I just want to get her used to it, and hopefully she'll sort of lead the way. I know it will probably be a while, but she's already telling me when she's pooped, so I'm hoping it won't be too hard!

we probably won't til closer to two. i take her in the bathroom with me and she doesn't care one bit. lol. she is my mini, in that we're both incredibly stubborn, so to avoid a battle of the wills we will wait as long as possible!
eta: i think i need to go to bed. 2, not june. LOL.

We introduced the potty around 18 months just so she knew what it was and wasn't afraid to practice sitting on it. It was just around and she would sit on it when I used the bathroom. She used the potty a few times just bc we times things right but it was just a few times here and there
We did the 3 day potty method at 24 months. There weren't any real signs of readiness but I was just ready to give it a try. And it worked

We did it a few weeks ago, she was 22.5 months. Tried the 3 day training and she got it in about 5 days.

Introduced potty seat at 19 months when he would tell us he pooped in his diaper. He just sits on it right now when I have time to put him on it. I'll start really potty training him after we get back from vacation in July--he'll be 22 months. If it doesn't go over well, I'll wait and try again at thanksgiving or Christmas when I'm off work.

we got a potty when she was 17 months and she likes to sit on it when I'm in the bathroom. Won't start potty training until late this year (November/December) since it will be Summer then and she will be able to run around without a diaper and hopefully get the concept of potty training. She will be 27ish months then

2 weeks before DD's 2nd birthday.
I think she was ready at 21 months old, but I didn't want to potty train with a newborn.
Waited until DS was 3 months old. -
DS started showing interest in the potty at around 21 months as well and would even pee without much prompting but it required running around without a diaper more often then I liked while dealing with an almost toddler (DD). After he turned two I kinda put it on the back burner but recently he's had his language explosion and we're going to revisit it. It helps that he's verbalizing what he needs to do!

We haven't started! He is 27 months. He doesn't show interest or ready signs.

22.5 months. We had introduced the potty long before, very casually. One day he just went on the potty by himself, so I knew it was time. For kicks we have the potty out with my younger one now, but he is showing absolutely no interest, so we'll see.
