I've always assumed I'd go as long as I could with my son rear-facing because it is safer than forward facing. He's 10 months and I have no plans on switching him any time soon, even though he hates the car seat and protests rather loudly often.

So, maybe I'm being super judgy, but I was shocked this morning when I saw a friend who just moved across country bought a new convertible seat for her (small) 6 month old and forward faced it. Is this normal? Are people really turning their seats around that early. Thought I'd do a poll.
