We're the opposite. DH was fine leaving her, but I didn't want to. We didn't have an actual date night until she was 5 months old. I would leave her with my mom for doctor's apts, but that's it. Honestly, I wouldn't change that and go earlier. I still hate leaving her, but do it for the sake of our relationship.

I left my LO with my mom while I went to my doctors appt a week after he was born.

I didn't want to leave him either! We just hired our first babysitter in March.

We had a date night about 3 weeks after she was born and my MIL watched her for a few hours! . We also left her with my parents for 3 nights when she was 2.5 months so we could attend a destination wedding and go snowboarding.

We left DD for the first time at about 6 weeks so we could go to a movie; it was too soon for me and I cried the whole time. DS is only 3 weeks old, but I probably won't leave him until 3 months; that's when he'll start joining DD at daycare 2 days a week.

When she was 10 months old! We left after I put her down for the night so not sure if that counts.
I left her during the day for the first time just this past week--12 months 2 weeks old. I was gone for less than 2 hours

We left DS with my parents at 4 weeks while we went to a movie.

My IL's were in town soon after our son was born, we took advantage of an evening out before they left when he was 10 days old. Luckily we were still supplementing with formula then, because I wasn't pumping much milk to leave with them.
