DD2 is 10.5 months, 17lbs and still under the height limit for her infant seat but I'm getting tired of lugging that thing around. We have her convertible seat but it's less convenient to get her ready when I can't plunk her into her bucket while I get DD1 dressed....

About 8/9months. Got tired of lugging it around and E was getting fussier in the seat. A convertible fixed it because she could see out the window and wasn't do darn hot

LO is 8 months and if it was spring or summer I would have already moved her out. I don't know how much she weighs (probably 17 lbs, give or take) but its too much to lug. I already take her in and out of her car seat at every destination we go to. The only thing holding me back is that its nice to get her into her seat in the house before we go so that if it is cold or snowing out i can just plop her into the car fast and we can be on our way. But typing that out I realized if I stand out in the cold to fasten/unfasten her at every destination, I could probably do it in our garage/driveway too. Sooo... as soon as I figure out what convertible seat to buy and buy it?

About 15-16 months? We just stopped taking it in and out of the car when she got too heavy...it was nice to have the option when it was really cold. She never minded the infant seat.

Shortly before her first birthday, and only because we bought the convertible and had nowhere to store it.
We started just leaving it in the car usually around months or so, but it really was still convenient to transfer when sleeping or if I was carrying other things.

7 months. We had a smaller seat and the height limit was low for our 99 percentile kid.

Before 5 mo. She would do baby sit ups and wouldn't lay back in it so I just moved her to the convertible. Either way, it was getting heavy so this worked better for us.

6 months. Homeboy was already 20+ lbs, so my arms were getting tired.

13 months!

She's almost 16lbs and will be 5m in a few days. I'm really hoping to get through most of the winter with her in it. With the fleece shower cap it just keeps her SO toasty! But she is getting quite heavy.
I think we moved DD 1 out by 5.5m?

Right around his first birthday. He was still under the height limit by 2 inches when we switched.

J was 8 months. I just bought him a new FF 5 point/booster combo and turned his old seat back to RF for L (also 10.5 months) last weekend. She looks so much more comfortable!
I need to get another seat for DH's car so she'll be in the bucket in there until I do.

Close to 6 months? He's not that big but started sitting up pretty early and it was clear he didn't want to be reclined.

9 months old. I was tired of lugging it around.

My DD is almost one and we ate getting one in the next week or so. (Britax marathon click tight) We stopped carrying her in it when she was about 8 months. She's never been happy in that car seat and I probably should've switched sooner but we don't go many places, so it's never been a big deal. She's about 1.5 inches from the shell so we need a new one.

For DS it was around 8 months. It got to be too heavy to lug around and we were taking him in and out of the seat as it was. DD is 5 months and we are still using it, but dang it's getting heavy and awkward to carry! But I still like the convenience of being able to buckle her in the house and I still like to use our snap and go stroller.

8 months - spring had finally come and I was so sick of carrying her in that thing.

With DS1 we switched shortly before he turned 1. DS2 switched around 7/8 months. Both are on the smaller side (5 percentile in weight). I was tired of carrying them back and forth.

He had outgrown it by 7 months. So we changed to the convertible then.
