6 weeks then back and forth and by four months she was consistently in her own room all the time.

LO is 5 months and is still in a PNP in our room. We've been thinking about moving her to her crib in the nursery, but we're moving in a few weeks so I've been putting off the transition figuring maybe it would be smoother all at once. Her sleep has been really bad the past month or so, so hopefully the transition in the new house will help!

I just moved DS 2 days ago at 5 weeks 3 days old - I was inspired by this thread. And so far, its been awesome!! He's not sleeping in his crib yet - we moved the arms reach co-sleeper and he's still sleeping in there, but we've all gotten much better sleep these last two nights. So, thank you thread!!

Thanks for your helpful posts! LO has been in his own room the past two nights and it's going really well. He's sleeping a little less soundly - 5 hours in a row instead of 6. But I think it's worth it. The same night we moved him, he started cooing when he woke up instead of just crying. It's really cute to hear his happy voice over the monitor.

P is a week shy of 1 year & she's still in our room. She sleeps the majority of the night in her crib (usually till 5-6) and then co-beds with us the rest of the early hours. I wasn't ready to night wean until P wouldn't "need" breastmilk anymore to ensure I didn't jeopardize my supply AND I'm a firm believer that through infancy night wakings & closeness to ones parents is important. We may move her around 18 months but nothings set in stone at this point.
DS slept in our room until he turned 2 & he transitioned very easily into his own room in his "big boy" bed.
