I think we moved A when she could sit up for the most part so that we could put her in a cart/high chair when we were out somewhere. It gets so hard lugging that thing around running errands I can't wait for E to graduate to the convertible car seat!

LO is petite, so we still haven't switched her at 10 months. We will switch her before she goes to daycare though, because the convertible is a lot easier to switch between cars.

Following this! My daughter is 5 months and very comfortably still in her infant seat. I know the weight limit goes up to 35 lbs. and she's not even close but she'll likely exceed the height first (although still not really close--she's always been a petite girl!).

We moved DD to a convertible around 10 months. She could have stayed in it for a while longer but we were moving and had a chance to store her infant seat. Not the best reason but she adjusted well and the convertible was great!

7 months. she was a super long baby and about to outgrow it. we hadn't been taking it out for about a month or so as it was too heavy with her in it!

Around 6 months. He was looking a little squished, it was getting too heavy to bother taking out of the car anyways, and his convertible seat also accommodated infants, so I figured why not.

6 months. He was just so heavy that I struggled to get it out of the car (which defeated the purpose of it being convenient to just take out when he's napping). I could barely lug the thing with him in it, and he was cramped in it. We were all SO much happier with him being in the bigger seat!

Uhm... 14 months!? Haha! We stopped taking the infant seat out of the car after 9 or 10 months though. She didn't grow out of it for a long time though!

C will be 11 months this week and she is still in it. I even carry it up two flights of stairs usually!! She's petite but it's getting heavy so we are starting to just leave it in the car now. It's so convenient when she does fall asleep in the car, I still am able to transfer her sleeping once in a great while. And we don't have an umbrella stroller yet and the main stroller is our ubv which is a beast to get in the car, so on the rare time we drive somewhere and I don't want to just use the carrier I put the car seat in the snap and go.
But we will probably switch in the next month. She's getting squished.

just before 6 months. she was HEAVY. and she could sit for the most part, so I figured why not.

He was 5 months. We had a long car trip and he is such a long kid that he was already getting cramped and uncomfortable in his infant seat so we switched and never looked back. He loves his convertible car seat.

She's still in it at almost 9 months. No plans to move her anytime soon, but we have been leaving it in the car for a couple of months now.

At about 4 months. She HATED the infant seat so we figured we'd try the convertible and it was a game changer. Not the most cinch bet for Minnesota winters, but totally worth it.

I *think* around 8 months, but I wouldn't have opposed keeping her in it longer.
