We are moving out of our house for renovations and can't move back in until I'm 37+3 weeks. I wasn't planning on packing a hospital bag but now I think maybe that's not very smart!! With my son my water broke at 38+6 and he was born at 39 weeks.
When did you pack yours?

I packed some of it around 37 weeks. But most things got packed while I was in labor right before I went to the hospital!

@QBbride: We moved at 35 weeks. So I was probably 37 weeks before I packed my bags. My water broke at 39 weeks and then we threw last min stuff in the suitcase.

I started gathering stuff around 34-35 weeks. Didn't pack until I was in labor which happened at 37+5. Thank goodness I started getting things ready a little early, even if they weren't actually in a bag yet.

I had it started with stuff I could pack away pretty early on (like t minus 1 month). Then I found out I was having an induction so I was able to pack that day.

I bought the stuff I needed to supply (diapers/wipes) and put them in my suitcase with the baby clothes at 36 weeks and I packed the rest at 39 weeks after my water broke.

Thanks ladies. You're making me feel better. I'm planning (hoping) to not spend much time in he hospital so I'm hoping to not need much. The hospital supplies diapers, wipes etc. Our house is a 2 minute drive from the hospital so I can always send hubby home to get things I've likely forgotten in a rush!! Last time if packed a few things but also didn't really cram the rest in until my water broke.

30 weeks for my first! (Not kidding). I'm 39 weeks today with my second and only Lo2's bag is packed. I have check lists ready to go for the rest of us but that's probably as far as I'll get until something happens!

Probably around 38 weeks? I dunno...*shrug*. I'm almost 37 now and still don't feel an urgency to do it!

DS came early and so I hadn't packed anything at all (35wk)! I just sent DH home/drugstore to get stuff for me after baby was born.
I was just thinking about this and wondering if I should start getting stuff together!

I'll probably start around 34 weeks? Mostly just making sure I have things on hand that I'll need - food/snacks for DH, certain laboring supplies I want, etc.

With my first son, we had a scheduled c-section so I had half packed my bag around 35 weeks and then finished the night before at 39w1d. With the twins, I had half packed my bag around 28 weeks and planned to pack the rest at my scheduled c-section at 38w but I ended up going into labor after an NST at 37w3d and never got to go back to the house so my husband and sister had to pack the rest of my bag for me. Luckily I had made an excel spreadsheet of all the items I needed to still pack, so they were able to use that to make sure nothing was forgotten.

I had it like half packed at 37 weeks (like his coming home outfit, and receiving blankets) but the bulk I packed when I was in labor.

35 weeks? I had PIH and was being monitored for preeclampsia so I wanted to be ready to go in case that moment of "oh crap, we have to get her out" ever came.
With #2, I packed it as we were heading out the door to go to the hospital. haha!

In labor... Someone warned me to pack it early, I wish I had taken their advice. We live close to the hospital though, so it wasn't a huge deal.

Packed gradually from 36-39 weeks and made a go-list of stuff we couldn't pack until I was in labor (like my glasses). I ended up using very little of the stuff I packed. On the other hand we also packed a big bag of snacks and those were fantastic to have around post partum.

I didn't pack anything until I was in labor and about to go to the hospital. Actually, I never packed anything - I was curled up on the bed in pain, and DH packed everything. Oops! It wasn't a big deal though, I didn't really need that much.

I started gathering stuff and making lists at 36 weeks and started packing at 37 weeks after we installed the car seat. I had a 10 foot iPhone charger cord, our digital camera, 2 sleepers and hats for DS, a muslin blanket, nursing pads and lanolin, chapstick, fuzzy socks, my own bathrobe, a basic makeup and toiletry kit, a hair brush, a ton of hair ties, shower flip flops, and a yoga pant/nursing tank/hoodie outfit to wear home. We kept towels and a nursing pillow in the car. We also packed an overnight bag for DH and left it in the car because he was most likely the one who would forget something he needed.
Good thing we packed ahead because my water broke at 38w5d and DS was born at 39w after a 36 hour induction and emergency c-section...and then needed to stay in NICU for jaundice. We didn't get home for a week, so DH ended up going home and hauling a LOT more stuff back to the hospital, but we had all the essentials there. One thing DH did run out and buy was a sleepmask and earplugs. I would highly recommend those. DH really stayed on top of his sleep during our hospital stay so he could be fresh and run around getting things for us during the day.

Um, I never packed one for DD because I went into unexpected preterm labor and went directly from my dr appointment to the hospital. I had to send DH home with a list to pack one for me!
This time around I'm going to have a bag packed at 30 weeks. Just in case.

sometime around late week 36. we were traveling for christmas and a babymoon, so we wanted to make sure we had everything ready just in case we went to the hospital 2 hours away from home! i think i repacked after we got back though.

I kind of halfway got mine together for this pregnancy at 37 weeks. I didn't use much that I packed the first time so it hasn't been a priority. But I mainly wanted to make sure I had the stuff for LO2 packed, so that motivated me to get a few things in the suitcase.
For LO1 I was all nerdy FTM and I think I had my bag packed at like 34 weeks.

I had started packing at 35 weeks and made a list of what would need to go in my bag when it was baby time.
This time I've already started making a list and I'm 24 weeks, I hope to have most of it packed and organised at 35 weeks.

When I was pregnant with N I had put one together the week Monday or Tuesday before I had him at 37 weeks.
When I was pregnant with E I didn't have time to pack one. Little man came at 35 weeks 4 days, so I thought we had more time. I was wrong.

I packed around 34 weeks because there was a decent chance of an emergency c section anytime from 35 weeks on because of a medical issue. Fortunately, I didn't need it until my due date!

I packed in labor. The only problem was that I hadn't walked DH through the bags and the stuff. There was a labor bag and a baby bag. DH brought my baby bag into the hospital when I was in labor and insisted there was no other bag. So I had nothing I planned to have during labor and just a bunch of baby clothes. It turned out fine. The hospital has everything you need.
