I read somewhere that you often can't tell until at least 15 months. For our LO, once she started with finger foods (7-8 months) we noticed she used her left hand more. And now at 15 months, she only uses a spoon with her left hand. Could we have a lefty on our hands?

I would love to know too since I am a lefty and am desperate for my LO to be a lefty too because of our infinate superiority
I keep looking for clues as to how he grabs things etc. but no clues yet! -
Wondering this too! At 18 months she switches bt right and left hand pretty easily. This morning I saw her using a spoon with her left hand but ystdy she was using it w / her right. My husband should have been a lefty but his grandparents "corrected" him into a righty so I'm interested to see if LO grows up to be a lefty

Ours switches back and forth, and she's 16.5 months.
DH wants LO to be a lefty because it's a much bigger advantage in tennis.

@Freckles: DH is excited about the athletic advantages too! He keeps talking about left handed pitchers but I have to remind him that our lo probably won't be playing mlb
@pinkcupcake: Interesting that they were successful! My brother is a lefty and my mom tried to correct it but it didnt work!
