I'm trying to figure out when I should send ours. Party is towards the end of April.

@runsyellowlites: Ok, thanks. I'm so antsy, I want to send them now (even though I don't even have them yet!) haha.
I just feel like a lot of my decisions can't be made until I have a vague idea of who is coming.
Did you give an RSVP date?

@mrsjazz: I think generally for a bday it's 4-6 weeks out.
No, I didn't add an rsvp date, just my number.... maybe I should? Hmmm...

@mrsjazz: I feel the same way! I made a list last night and I think we have 60 adults on the invite list but I don't think we'll get more than 40.

@runsyellowlites: I don't know. I probably wouldn't worry about it if I was having her party at home. I'm still trying to figure out if I should. I can always just order food based on a guesstimate, I'd just rather have more than less.

@mrsjazz: I hadn't really thought much about it but considering some of DH's family I think I might.... for my shower we invited quite a few (all of them wanted to be invited) and pretty much none of them showed. I don't mind having extra food but I don't want THAT much extra. lol
Maybe I'll just give them a ring the week of her party regardless.

I gave 1 months notice, but I also did an e-vite as opposed to paper invites. It's just going to be immediate family/close friends so I didn't want to spend the time and money on paper.

@prettylizy: I'm doing an e-invitation, too. It's a high-res jpeg though, so all my family members that are going to complain about "oh we need a keepsake" they can just save it and print/send to a photosharing site.

I sent mine out about five weeks before. I didn't set a response deadline but most ppl ended up replying within the week (I just used evite).
