Babies are a month old and I haven't sent them out yet. DH needs to design them. Hopefully, we'll get them printed and sent this weekend.

Had my first at the end of October so I sent a combo birth announcement/holiday card
This baby was just born oct 1, so I'm not sure I can get away with that this time, but I might still anyway.

We had newborn pictures at 10 days old then we sent out the announcements after that so it was about 1 month.

We ordered them as soon as we got the newborn pics back then sent them out shortly thereafter, so about a month?

We did ours about 2 weeks later. We had a Thanksgiving baby and wanted to get the birth announcements out in time to be our holiday cards as well.

My LOs are 17 months old and they have not gone out yet. Maybe for their 2nd birthday?
They are all printed and everything, I just never got motivated enough to put them in envelopes and send them. I just gave them to people if I remembered when they were visiting.

Our 'newborn' session was at 3 weeks. Once we got them back from the photographer and ordered from Minted, it was 2 months.

We did it electronically via Paperless Post, so had everything ready to go in the outbox before the baby was born. Baby born, filled in stats, hit send - I think my DH did it from the hospital.

@JoJoGirl: that sounds like a great idea. These days news travels of the birth so fast anyway. I definitely want to have one actual hard copy birth announcement to send to The White House.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Yep. One step more formal than just putting it up on Facebook
And you can add a photo, choose a design etc. We saw no need to send people something in the actual *mail*.

We sent them with a holiday message both times. They're a an early December baby and a mid November baby, so one was sent at 2 weeks and one at 4 weeks. We ordered about 1.5 weeks PP both times.

About a month? We had newborn pix done at a week old and then got them back in two weeks, made the announcement and mailed them out.

Ok, looks like I'm okay. Average is about 2 months so far.

after we received our newborn pictures, so I'd say about a month or month 1/2 later.
