I tried EC and occasionally sit LO on her potty, but I haven't been consistent.
I'm probably going to start EC for real within the next couple of months!

We did not do EC, but our little one started showing interest in the potty at 14-15 months. At 18 months, she started regularly peeing on the potty and at 21 months started doing poo poo on the potty. She is still not consistent with the stool, but we figure by age 2 she'll be there. We've tried really hard not to push her, as we have a friend who did EC (not anyone from here), who have wound up with some pretty big potty problems with their child. (Won't leave the bathroom, won't go to the bathroom anywhere but home, so holds poop until he's bursting, etc etc.)

@Mrs. Jacks: Yikes to your friend's son! Poor thing..! I'm going to make sure not to push my LO too. She loves her potty and is always trying to play with it.. :T She seems to like sitting on it as well.

Good luck! I'm hoping LO will potty train pretty early because they say babies in cloth diapers feel the wet more and don't like it, so they want to go in the potty. I'm just going to wait until she's ready though, no rush!

We do a little bit of EC so right now she takes most of her poos on the potty and sometimes pees, but most of those still go in her diaper. We don't push it but if I know it's a time she usually pees or I see a potty face we'll take her in there and play patty cake or something while she sits on her little potty adapter on the toilet. Usually she's happy to sit on the potty but if she's not we don't push it. We did have an unfortunate week where she did not want to poo in the potty or her diaper and would wait until right when I took her off the potty and poop on the bathroom floor. It was gross. But the week after that she went from taking an occasional poo on the potty to almost all of her poos on the potty.

we started at 18 months. it was going really well. then charlie decided he didn't want to use the potty, and olive came along so we didn't push him.
he is sooooo ready now (27 months) because he asks us to change his diaper and tells us when he is pooping!

@Mrs. Jacks: I hada similar thing happen. I was a nanny for a two-year old and her dad was really pushing her to use the potty before she was emotionally ready, and it got to the pint where she wouldn't even go in her diaper at all, ever. She held it all in. We had to put suppositories up her butt to get her to poo in her diaper even. It was absolutely awful and disgusting. So she wasn't potty trained until 3.5 because of that.
