My newborn HATES my right side. He arches his back and screams when I try to nurse him there. I was considering that maybe I should try pumping a bit to see if that would help. Not sure if it is too soon though.

i started pumping at the hospital. like day 2! not that anything really came out.

I started during week 2, even though everywhere I read said to wait until week 4. My son never had a problem going back and forth between bottle and breast, though.

I bought a hand pump the day my milk came in, because my left side was too engorged for her to latch onto. I pumped a little after that if I was feeling too engorged on either side. I froze most of that early milk, LO didn't have a bottle until three weeks.

I started the day I got home from the hospital which was 3 days after the baby was born.

About 4 days after she was born, I wanted to build up my stash before I went back to work bc I knew I could only pump once a day.
