I've been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to my boys at bedtime now. We started it two days ago. DS2 doesn't pay attention but DS1 (almost 4) loves it! But he can't seem to tell me what the story is about when I ask. Normal? When did you start reading chapter books to your LO? Any good book suggestions?

We read Harry Potter (the whole series) aloud to DD as a newborn.
For a while she was really only into picture books, but now (3 next month), she's getting more interested in chapter books. We already have some story collection books that she likes listening to for short periods of time. I'm also looking for the Little House on the Prairie books for DD's birthday, along with Charlotte's Web. We'll see what she's interested in after we finish those!

@Honeybee: Little House on the Prairie! Gah, I loved those as a kid! Definitely added to my list of books to get. And i wanna read HP for myself still. Lol.
