We had our first baby shower over the weekend and DH got to putting together the stroller, carseat, pack and play, snugabunny bouncer RIGHT AWAY. LOL
We'll be 28 weeks this wknd! 
Perhaps premature? But, looking at the TO DO list, I'm kind of glad he's got it done!
(forgot to mention that all of our nursery furniture is setup, we're just waiting on the glider/ottoman!)

We have been doing it as we get it too, we have a swing in our living room, the rock-n-play in the nursery, and highchair, strollers, ect. in teh basement! haha I love seeing it all set up! (we are 33 weeks, but started around 30!)

I went home to visit my family from 24 to 28 weeks. When I came back,. DH had everything set up.

I didn't have my baby shower until I was 32 weeks pregnant so after the shower is when we set everything up.

We're not pregnant yet, therefore no baby gear yet, but I could TOTALLY see DH doing this too! He loooves set up new stuff, and playing with new "toys"

we set up the crib, dresser and changing table in the 3rd trimester. Certain things like the swing and stroller we didnt set up until the baby was here

We are still waiting for our BFP but last night I was mentally transforming our office into a nursery. DH got a little sick of me shoving my iPad in his face with pictures of cribs and linens and change tables, which went on for at least an hour!
I would think it is a good idea to set you earlier rather than later. Then it's done and you won't have to think about it closer to your due date.

No - now is good! The bigger you get, the less, ummm, agile you might become (I am so much clumsier now than I was before), so tackle those projects now so that you can relax and cruise through the end of your pregnancy. I had pretty much everything set up by week 32 or so, but DH and I just put a huge tree/bird/owl decal up in the nursery this weekend (I will be 38 weeks on Thursday), and I was exhausted when we were finished.

We set up our stroller when we got it, at around 26 weeks. Crib got set up after the room was painted, around 28 weeks. The dresser should be coming this week and will be set up as soon as it's in the door!

I had my shower at 32 weeks and did the setting up of stuff after that....actually my mom did it all since I was on bedrest and my hubs was working like crazy ; )

I will also add that I have not put *everything* together (the Rock 'N Play Sleeper and the Snugabunny Swing are still in their boxes) because I have a ton of family coming, and wanted to save a couple of projects for them so (a) they can feel like they are contributing, and (b) so I can get a few minutes to myself!

We set up the crib at 20 weeks so that we could gauge how much room it would take. Everything else we waited till around 38 weeks because we knew it would take up a lot of room. Stroller we didn't put together until LO was 2 weeks since we didn't go out much the first couple weeks.

our shower was at 31 weeks, so generally after that. the crib has been set up since 18 weeks or so, because the ILs bought it early and I wanted to make sure nothing was broken!
the only things we have not set up are things she won't use right away, like the jumperoo and exersaucer. the swing, bouncy seat and stroller are all set up (even though we won't use the city mini right away either!)

I had my baby shower at 37 weeks, so not until 38 weeks, just in the nick of time, because Sawyer was born at 38 4/7. I had a lot of complications, so I think me and DH felt like getting set up too early was asking for trouble or something LOL!

Right after our first shower which was at 28 weeks. It was awesome because it just happened to be our biggest shower so I had tons of goodies to set up.

My shower wasn't until I was 35 weeks, I was due the end of February so the holidays threw everything off... normally I think they would have planned for 30 weeks - but I was 30 weeks on Christmas! Anyhow - so we didn't have ANYTHING until I was 35 weeks and then I had to spend those last three weeks washing his laundry, putting everything away, setting things up etc and I was SO exhausted, SO uncomfortable and in SO much pain. DH was SO busy with work trying to get everything prepped and ready for his leave that he didn't have extra time to help me.
I so wish I had my shower earlier because it was torture and not enjoyable AT ALL. Yeah... definitely regret that one!

I think superstition/tradition will keep me from getting things set up too early, as if tempting fate before I really have a baby. Anyone else wait until really close to the end?

We didn't have a lot to set up, but we did have to put together the nursery, stroller and install the car seat. We didn't buy anything until after 24 weeks, and I wanted everything done by 34 weeks just in case. If you have the space and time for the stuff to be done, do it!
