I recall baths until I was 8. My husband said at 4 or 5 he was already taking showers exlcusively.

I was probably in fourth grade when I completely switched so around 9? I think I switched back and forth until then but I may be remembering wrong.

@Mamaof2: do you still help him get in and out of the bath- run the bath, get the towel? I remember my parents being very involved with bath time, but my hubs said he was getting his own towels when he started taking showers.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: No - he likes to do all that by himself. He even likes to wash his body and hair alone but refuses a shower.
I take that back - I do have to monitor the bath so it doesn't over flow - DS likes lots of water!

How do y'all remember this kind of stuff? I have NO clue.

We didn't have a shower at home so I took baths until I moved out! I can remember my first ever shower - I was 17 and was staying at a friend's house; I got really panicky when the water hit my face, opened the cubicle door and sprayed water all over the bathroom!!

@Smurfette: lol, I still have photographic evidence of baths at 8, plus I remember at 10 when my cycle started my pediatrician told me baths would be soothing.

I still take baths whenever possible! It's mostly cultural...

I think I took baths forevvvvvvverrrrrrr...like up until I was 13 or so. But not with my parents there or anything! I always read in the bath as a kid, for like 2 hours at a time. Almost every day. I even remember falling asleep in there sometimes!
And as one of 6 kids, my mom totally didn't care and probably didn't even know where I was at the time.

For reals. Our shower head was super short in my childhood home...when we moved, I finally could shower because the faucet was above my head. I still prefer baths (unless I'm all sweaty, anyways).
@anagram, I also used to read a TON in the tub (hello, it was the ONLY place my brother wouldn't bother me!) and fall asleep, ha. And mom used to bring me hot towels from the dryer...

@Smurfette: I have no idea, either. I couldn't even begin to guess.

I don't know. Maybe 8-ish? DS may never remember regularly taking a bath. He's 2 and has been showering with one or the other parent since he could sit up well on the shower floor. Not sure if we'll switch to a bath at some point or not, but right now its so easy doing it this way!

I think I was pretty old - maybe 10 or so. DD started showering with us around 14 months, but she gets a bath after the shower most nights, and now around 2 isn't as keen on the shower anymore.

I lived in an apartment so I'm pretty sure I took showers pretty early on!

I was about 8. I loved taking baths. My mom always played with us and made it a big production. At 8, my mom got extremely sick and had to be hospitalized for a week and a half then could hardly take care of herself for a few more months, let alone us. At that age, my dad was no longer helping my sister and I with anything that involved being naked so I was kind of forced to start showers. It was fine though. My mother did recover (after permanent nerve damage). I'm not sure I took another bath until I was in high school, then it was just for fun.

I think I was switching back and forth starting at 7. I think I started exclusively taking showers when I was about 9.

@Smurfette: lol. I moved when we were 7, and I was definitely taking showers by then I know. So, that's how I thought it out
Although when I was younger, I think my mom still helped with washing my hair, because I had really loonnng hair! I can't really remember that part though!

We didn't have a bathtub until we moved to Germany so I graduated from the sink to the shower.

I think about 12. Both of my parents are bath people, so I think it took a while for me to discover that the shower was quicker.
