LO will be a month old on Friday (sob) and I have a little bit over a month left before I go back to work (sob sob). I've been playing it by ear this whole time...putting him to bed after he falls asleep after nursing, which could be anywhere from 7pm-10pm, just so we can go straight to bed with him and get the full 3 hour stretch before he needs to eat again.
I'm going to try and start a bedtime routine...bath (or wipe down), lotion, clean diaper and jammies, nursing while listening to lullabies, swaddle, and sleep. I did this the other night and I got 4 hours before he woke up again instead of 3! I enjoyed the time with him too. I just don't know when is a good time to put him to bed. 6pm? Id like to get back in the habit of getting up early. I sleep until 10am at least now because he does.
He wakes up about 3 times a night and I will be pumping when I go back to work and would like to start a pumping/bottle feeding routine so it's not a shock to him when he goes to the babysitters.
Include all your details!! I'm lost as to where to start.
(just kidding, sorta). We had a schedule around 5 months when his naps naturally consolidated. I made myself miserable prior to that trying to time it, change it, adjust it and I wish I'd just gone with the flow more because nothing I did mattered anyways!
